Welcome to Tessleymoor Farm in the Yorkshire Dales. I’m sharing my experiences as a first-time farmer at the age of 50, bringing a little bit of my country life into your world. Supporting British farming is my passion. My pigs, goats and sheep experience the highest standards of grazing and foraging, which in turn produces exceptional meat. I sell this direct through meat boxes or via local butch

☀️ It was a warm one on the farm today…

I think Skye and Isla summed it up perfectly. 😂🐾

Safe to say neither of them were impressed with the Yorkshire heat and had a few opinions on the matter!

Now that’s what I call supporting your local! 😂🍻

Amongst all the music, dancing and festival atmosphere at Farm Fest, this photograph caught my eye.

I don’t think you’ll find a better advert for your local pub than being carried on someone’s shoulders in front of the main stage with your logo on full display!

A huge shout out to The Star Inn at Harome. A fantastic local business and clearly a customer who’s more than happy to spread the word.

This is what great events are all about. Bringing together local businesses, local communities and thousands of people having a brilliant time.

After hundreds of your amazing suggestions and so many votes, the decision has finally been made…

Meet Isla. 🥰

It was incredibly close between Isla and Willow, but Isla just edged it in the end.

One comment really stood out to me… with Skye already part of the team, naming our newest little sheepdog Isla felt like the perfect fit. A lovely little nod to Scotland and a play on words that just seemed meant to be. 🏴❤️

She’s got a lot to learn, plenty of adventures ahead and no doubt she’ll keep me on my toes, but I can’t wait to share her journey with you all as she grows into life on the farm.

And if you watch closely, you’ll spot one of the Highland cattle trying to steal the show with a cheeky photobomb while we were filming! 😂🐮

Here’s to the start of a very exciting new chapter.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Some moments stay with you forever. ❤️

As the evening drew in on Sunday, Clare and I headed back out across the estate, checking the ground one last time to make sure no sheep had been missed during the day’s gather.

With over 4,000 acres to cover, every valley, hillside and hidden corner has to be searched. It’s hard work, but when you’re surrounded by scenery like this, you can’t help but stop for a moment and appreciate just how special it is.

Working alongside Clare and her dogs, learning a different way of farming and seeing the trust between shepherd and sheepdog has been an experience I’ll never forget.

Sometimes it’s not just about gathering sheep. It’s about the places the job takes you, the people you meet and the memories you bring home.

Scotland, you’ve been incredible. 🐑🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
