Astley View - an Evermore Care Home

As part of Care Home Open Week, we were delighted to welcome the Mayoress of Chorley and her Consort to Astley View.
They thoroughly enjoyed looking around our fabulous, warm, and friendly home, meeting both our residents and dedicated team members. The Mayoress particularly enjoyed chatting with residents and observing one of our arts and crafts activities, taking time to learn more about life at Astley View.
The visit was followed by a delicious meal prepared by our talented kitchen team, which was greatly enjoyed by all.
A huge thank you to the Mayoress and her Consort for taking the time to visit and meet the wonderful people who live and work at Astley View. It was a pleasure to share our home and community with them, and we greatly appreciated their interest, support, and kindness throughout their visit.

Carers week

Throughout the day we held 'Mandy Motivator sessions for the seniors and carers which were full of laughter and smiles. As it's carers week, we wanted to do a fitness session for staff as a opportunity to have a little fun.

Happy Friyay at Astley View. We had so much fun with our clothing pop up shop. The residents enjoyed searching through the rails for the latest fashions and trying them on. A lovely relaxed afternoon was had by all.

What an incredible turnout we had for Sing For You! 🎶💙
Our residents joined in when they could, singing along and swaying to the beautiful music, creating such a heartwarming atmosphere for everyone.

Sing For You took us on a wonderful musical journey through the British Isles, with each song bringing back memories and smiles. It truly was a gorgeous journey, and we loved every moment of it.
Thank you to everyone who made today so special, we can't wait for the next one! ✨

Please join us in congratulating Rianna, one of our many amazing Senior Carers, for being voted our Step Up Stand Out winner for May. Our team, families and residents all strongly felt that Rianna encompasses the true meaning of Care in everything she does, providing dignified, compassionate and dedicated love and support to those around her.
Rianna is an asset to our team, and we really are grateful to have her! Well done Rianna!

Care Home Open Week is all about bringing people together, and we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Astley View from 15–21 June.

Throughout the week, visitors can take a tour of the home, meet our team and enjoy a programme of activities inspired by sport, music and community connections.

We are delighted that the Mayor will be joining us during the week, alongside families, community partners and local organisations, helping us celebrate the important role care homes play in supporting older people and their families.

From fitness sessions and football-themed activities to live entertainment and Father's Day celebrations, the week reflects the varied and meaningful experiences residents enjoy throughout the year.

There is no need to book an appointment to visit the home. Simply pop in, take a look around and learn more about life at Astley View Care Home.

We marked the D‑Day anniversary with a thoughtful craft afternoon, bringing everyone together to create poppies, paper aeroplanes, doves of hope, and some beautiful watercolour paintings. As we worked, residents shared memories and stories, all while enjoying classic treats like Victoria sponge and scones with jam and cream. With 1940s music playing in the background, the room filled with gentle reminiscence, creativity, and connection, a lovely way to honour the day.
