Where tiny-person ambitions become real… & played an absolute blinder tonight 🤩 We went back to one of our faves this eve with our little aspiring Eddie-Chef. Obsessed with Great British Menu & Masterchef Australia, Eds peeked through the window of the kitchen door… just to catch a glimpse of a real service. Super observant & thoughtful staff, subtly, invited us in to the kitchen. Explained how the whole system worked. Dream come true for Eddie (age 7… & me age 44 😂). Everything from the service, to the absolutely incredible food and the genuine humility and kindness of all of the staff…impeccable evening 🫶🏻 We are full, happy and grateful 🫶🏻 Thanks so much all 🤍

What’s better than a roast chicken and a mature bottle of Bordeaux? This is perfectly mature (sourced from earlier this year) and it’s just lovely. Still some dark fruit on the nose, touch of to***co, spice, little bit of leather and fully resolved tannins. The bottle vanished in no time! There really is nothing like a mature bottle of Bordeaux! Just 6 bottles left

I cannot believe this is the CURRENT release from Ch Gillette ( )The colour looks so much younger than I was expecting. From one of the all-time great vintages in Sauternes. We drank this last night in London, and it was quite frankly nothing short of incredible. Simply wonderful, wonderful wine.

We’d forgotten how delicious the Lune d’Argent was until Tom tried it again in Bordeaux. The 2025 is a complete steal at just £55 per 6x75cl IB. It’s a project run by using all their white wine knowhow - and it’s just lovely. Even better, they do a limited number of double magnums which come in this very stylish, tall, bottle! Well worth picking up - available from September.

Excellent release by this morning - a very sensible price of £144 per 6x75cl IB which is slightly lower than last year and an excellent wine in 2025. Top value Pauillac… and they’ve brought back the Marie-Jeanne (2.25L) - an old Bordeaux format which is proving very popular. Highly recommended by us - and they offer up to 18L!
