Berry Farm Cotswolds

Berry Farm Cotswolds Together with our son Zachary, we are the fourth generation of family to live at Berry Farm.

Berry Farm is located on the outskirts of the thriving village of South Cerney nestled in the Southern Cotswolds a few miles from Cirencester and within the Cotswold Water Park We both spent much of our childhoods on our family farms and returned here after studying in Devon & living in the the New Forest for a number of years. We came with a vision to restore the farm and we relish the opportunit

y to be able to bring our son up in an environment where he has the freedom to run, explore and learn.

Something magic happened on the farm yesterday. ✨

We gathered to celebrate the Summer Solstice – the longest day of the year and a moment to pause, reflect and reconnect.

From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense of calm anticipation. The farm, with its birds in abundance and open spaces provided the perfect backdrop for a day dedicated to wellbeing and connection. As the sun climbed higher in the sky, so too did a feeling of warmth and community among those who had come together.

Throughout the day, we shared experiences that invited us to slow down and be present. Gentle movement, mindful practices, nourishing food and moments of quiet reflection encouraged everyone to step away from the demands of everyday life and simply ‘be’. There was laughter, conversation, learning and, perhaps most importantly, space to breathe.

One of the greatest joys of hosting these retreats is witnessing strangers become friends. Conversations flowed easily, stories were shared, and a sense of belonging emerged that reminded us all how important human connection is. In a world that often feels hurried and noisy, creating a space where people can gather authentically feels more valuable than ever.

As the day drew to a close, there was a sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the sunshine, for the beautiful setting and for the wonderful practitioners who shared their expertise, thanks to Charlotte, Rachel & Kirsteen as well Paula and every guest who chose to spend their day with us.

Your openness, kindness and enthusiasm helped create something truly special.

Until next time 🙏🏼

What goes into making the farm ready for a retreat day?

Come with me for a little snippet of the preparation!

It’s ironic that I never make it to a PT class these days… BUT as you can see I’m always getting my gym workout in different ways 😆

We love hosting retreats, wellness days and can help you incorporate any type of wellness into your corporate away days. Your options are endless with all of our spaces 😉

As farming fortnight comes to a close we wanted to reflect on how much we have achieved here in the last 20 years.

Moving back to the family farm as a newly married couple was exciting and we came with boundless energy and ideas!

As the years rolled by and our family grew we knew diversifying was key.

So as custodians of this magical place we are proud and lucky to call home, we hope all who experience the aura and calm love it as much as we do. 🌱 🌼 🐑

Hi I’m Claire a 4th generation farmer and live on our family farm with my husband, two kids and two dogs in the Cotswolds.

We have a wonderful heritage orchard, Llyen sheep and clever bees 🐝

We enjoy hosting events and workshops in our parlour barn (where the cows used to get milked).

Our large haybarn is no longer full of straw and hay but hosts a marvellous PT gym and space to dine.

Want to stay with us. You will find our converted threshing barn just the place. It’s big enough to gather large groups of friends and family of 10.

Our retreat days aren’t about being good at wellness. They’re about slowing down, trying something different, meeting lovely people, and leaving feeling lighter than when you arrived.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along but feel a little unsure, maybe this is your sign to say yes to yourself for a day.

Come and enjoy time in nature, an opening circle and yoga in the tipi, qigong in the orchard and a soundbath in our parlour barn along with farm to fork food and much more.

Gardening teaches children so much without them even realising:
🌼 patience
🐝 respect for nature
🥕 where food comes from
🌧 the importance of caring for living things

On the farm, some of the best moments happen when we’re outside, full watering cans, and little hands helping in the garden.

Whether it’s planting seeds in a pot, growing herbs on a windowsill, or exploring outdoors, every small connection with nature matters.

What’s your favourite gardening memory from childhood?
or what do your children love growing most?

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is give ourselves permission to try something new.
One of our returning retreat guests shared that her favourite part of the day last year was “stepping out of my comfort zone and doing things I’d never tried before” — especially the sound bath and qigong. In fact, she enjoyed it so much she now attends regular sessions afterwards.

Our retreat this year is going to be magical.
It’s happening on the 20th June from
10-6pm.

It’s World bee day today and we are so excited to have bees back on the farm! We want to share how you can help these amazing little pollinators.

Participate in ‘no-mow’ May so the wildflowers can bloom and provide a early-season food source.

Plant native flowers in your window boxes or garden like lavender or marigold.

Leave a shallow dish of water out with pebbles in for thirsty bees.

Get the kids involved and build a bee hotel, bundle together bamboo reeds or drill holes in a block of wood

Don’t forget to support your local beekeepers and buy your honey from near where you live, it’s also great for helping your hay fever!

We love bees and are so grateful to Tom for putting a couple of his hives on our apiary this year.

Why not save this as a reminder to plant something bee friendly this year
