Now, we might be a little biased… but surely everyone agrees that Truffle is just the cutest? 🥰🦙
That little black nose gets us every time! We have a feeling this handsome young alpaca is going to be a firm favourite with our visitors. ❤️

Our alpacas are feeling much better after their annual haircuts! ✂️🦙

Alpacas require shearing every spring or early summer because, unlike many animals, they do not naturally shed their fleece. Removing their dense coats helps prevent overheating, heat stroke, and fly strike during the warmer months.

The shearing process is quick, taking just 5–10 minutes per alpaca. To ensure their safety and the safety of the shearers, alpacas are gently secured on their sides using specialised ropes, keeping them still while the sharp clippers do their work.

A little less fluffy, but much more comfortable for summer! ☀️💚
