Pop in this weekend for a relaxed browse and a little something extra 🍷

We’re pouring two lovely wines to taste in the shop — the beautifully textured Kumeu River Pinot Gris and the elegant Fritz Walter Spätburgunder. The perfect excuse to slow down, explore, and maybe discover a new favourite.

Here's Nick's thoughts on them;
Kumeu village Pinot Gris - Elegant and textured Pinot Gris. Dry pear and peach with a hint of spice and a pleasant, slightly richer mouthfeel.

Fritz Walter Spätburgunder - Pinot Noir from Pfalz, the warmest of Germany's Wine regions. It has a lovely smoky cherry nose and is pleasingly fresh on the palate with bright red fruit.

Springtime in the wine trade is very exciting! Many of our suppliers host their portfolio tastings and Tom has been all over the country on a mission to find some brilliant new wines to add to our shelves which will be arriving in the coming weeks.

Rioja is an ideal Easter wine and we highly recommend this beauty from Bodegas Taron Cepas Centenarias!

A limited production wine made from rare 100 year old Tempranillo vines in a single vineyard at 600 metres high in the Rioja Alta region. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Supple tannins support the core of ripe blackberries and cherries combined with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, balsamic, coffee and chocolate. Delicious!
