Colchester… Oktoberfest is BACK! 🍺🇩🇪

From 24th–27th September, we’re bringing four days of authentic German beers, 2-pint Steins, taster racks, Oktoberfest food, platters and plenty of Bavarian atmosphere back to Three Wise Monkeys & Other Monkey Brewing The Taproom 🥨🍻

But this year, we’re taking things one step further…

NEW FOR 2026: THE BIERHALL EXPERIENCE 🇩🇪

We’re transforming our restaurant into an Oktoberfest Bierhall, packed with singing, stein-clinking, German-themed live entertainment and a proper Oktoberfest feast.

For £38.50 per person, your Bierhall Experience includes a 2-pint Stein of authentic German beer, an Oktoberfest platter (Meat or Vegetarian) and live German-themed entertainment.

Our Oktoberfest weekends are always busy, and Bierhall spaces are limited so get your group together and book your table now.

Introducing our Colchester Castle Summer Series Helles Lager, a crisp 4% lager brewed especially for the occasion!

You’ll be able to get your hands on it across our venues, while we’ll also be supplying the Summer Series and keeping the artists refreshed backstage 🎤👀

Today’s Brew Recap – Great Journey Begin 🍺
Today we brewed our flagship, Great Journey Begin. The wort was brought to a steady boil to develop malt character and ensure stability, with hops added at timed stages to build balanced bitterness, flavour, and aroma.
Once the boil was complete, the batch was transferred out and ready for the next step in fermentation.
