Soooo… a few of you may have heard the sad news today about a salmonella outbreak up country, from IMPORTED eggs.

We’d just like to reassure you that if you buy British Eggs, with a UK stamped on the shell, UK registered flocks have salmonella tests approx 4 times a year, and an annual salmonella audit from the Egg Inspector. All chicks/pullets are also vaccinated and tested before they go onto producer farms.

So if ever there was a stark reminder to buy British… this is it. 🍳 🍳 🍳

The end of an era.
It is with great sadness that we at farm eggs announce the passing of the man who started it all , Donald Clough.
Originally started as a hobby with a few chickens in the back garden, whilst working at the press as a type setter, he kept friends and neighbours supplied with their weekly eggs . Very soon the demand increased so much so, that along with his much loved wife Delia, Don left his job to start what was to become Tiptree farm eggs. Throughout the years don worked tirelessly gradually stepping back but still very much keeping an active role in the running of the business up until this day, His wisdom, knowledge and guidance will be greatly missed by all the family, who continue to keep Tiptree Farm Eggs his legacy.
