Giant Taste returns to The Courthouse Bushmills on ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ญ๐ก ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž for a Showcase of Artisan Food, Drink & Culinary Experiences.

Hosted by TV chef and Taste Causeway Ambassador Paula McIntyre, the event will feature live demos, artisan food producers, cocktail showcases, tastings and local food stories throughout the day.

We have some very sad news to share.

Due to new EU legislation affecting certain smoke flavourings, our Hickory Smoked Oil can no longer be produced or placed on the market after 1st July 2026. This decision is completely outside of our control, and we are absolutely gutted as it has been one of our best-selling products for many years. (We had no previous instructions from EHO's, or suppliers advising us that this was coming in). This news will affect so many business, cheese, fish, hams, bbq foods, oils/balsamics, drinks industry.

We know how many of you use and love this oil, whether for BBQs, marinades, roasting, grilling, or adding that wonderful smoky flavour to your favourite dishes.

We currently have a large amount of stock remaining, that we had built up for the summer months and also one of our supermarkets. We were just about to launch a new product with a large deli. ๐Ÿฅน

To help reduce the significant losses we face from remaining stock, labels, ingredients and production costs, we're asking for your support.

Products sold before 1st July can continue to be enjoyed throughout their full shelf life, so you can purchase with confidence, and all of our oils even if it shows a shelf life has actually just under 5 years if not opened, so you can stock up and keep them!

Today was a day of celebration at as signed the ยฃ129m Growth Deal, unlocking transformative investment for our region.

โ€‹At , we have been pleased to collaborate with and support the team at as they developed the business case for the new Foodovation and Skills Centre. It was fantastic to witness this next step today, seeing their hard work reach such a significant milestone.

โ€‹Our Chair, Geri Martin of , joined the panel discussion to reflect on the incredible opportunities this funding creates for food and drink businesses across our wonderful Borough. This investment will ensure our local producers remain at the heart of innovation and excellence.

Tourism Northern Ireland recently hosted a pivotal industry event, and we were proud to see the network so well represented! ๐Ÿค

The session was a fantastic deep dive into the future of our industry, specifically highlighting the importance of the new Food Strategy Framework.

It was an invaluable opportunity to see how our members are vital in ensuring that the Causeway Coast and Glens aligns with the national vision for a world-class food destination.

Two major themes stood out that sit at the very heart of what we do:
The Power of Collaboration: The event reinforced that we are stronger together. By working as a collective, our local producers and hospitality leaders are the ones driving Northern Irelandโ€™s reputation forward.

A Commitment to Slow Food: We were thrilled to see the emphasis on Slow Food principles. As a core part of our purpose, seeing the value of "good, clean, and fair" food championed at this level is incredibly encouraging for our local artisans.

A huge thank you to for such an inspiring and forward-thinking event, and for facilitating the event.

What an incredible weekend! Our Taste Causeway members brought the very best of our giant spirit to the Love Your Food show, and the energy was electric.

From award-winning local spirits and artisan jams to world-class noodles, seasonings, coffee, pies and preserves, the North Coast was truly the star of the show. It was a joy to see so many food lovers discovering the stories, the passion, andโ€”most importantlyโ€”the flavours that make our corner of the world so special. ๐Ÿด๐ŸŒŠ
A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by the stands to chat, sample, and take a piece of the Causeway Coast home with them. Weโ€™re still buzzing from all the foodie inspiration!
