DPD LET US DOWN… BUT JOHN DAVIDSON SAVED THE DAY!

Brisket delivery disaster just before another massive Saturday at Fire & Smoke Scotland!

Thankfully, the legend that is John Davidson from John Davidson’s Award-Winning Butchers had our backs and got those briskets sorted!

And as if that wasn’t enough… he showed us his LEVIATHAN OFFSET SMOKER!

WHAT. AN. ABSOLUTE. MACHINE!

Two award-winning businesses, one serious obsession with proper BBQ!

Massive thanks to John and the team. Absolute legends!

WHO WANTS TO SEE THAT LEVIATHAN FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS?

Meet Nemesis. Built for a client with a very specific goal: cook as many briskets as humanly possible in a single offset smoker at once (it turns out 72 was the magic number).

At around 5 metres long, weighing in at 2,300 kg, with a 1300 US gallon cooking chamber, it’s the largest single offset smoker in the UK as far as we’re aware.

Another big goal was to keep fuel consumption down and fire tending to an absolute minimum, while still generating huge amounts of draw and convection. Getting the airflow design right was as much a part of the brief as finding room for all those briskets. The angular cabinet and exposed bracing give it a very different look to our normal pits, but there’s plenty of familiar Leviathan engineering underneath.

The spec includes:
• 12x laser-cut slide-out grates.
• 3x cabinet-style doors.
• Ceramic fibre insulated firebox.
• Lockable throttle-body-style firebox air intake.
• 6x XL 5″ calibratable Tel-Tru × Leviathan temperature gauges.
• 4x 10″ ultra-heavy-duty swivel locking castors.
• Modular design that we can scale up or down to suit.
• £12,000 (ex VAT) as specced

Stay tuned, we’ve got some other seriously wild pits in the works.

Some of you will have spotted this particular build out in the wild ;)

So here’s a good look at the Terraton 200 Mk.3, the third design iteration of our flagship offset smoker.

Changes for the Mk.3:

- A beefier, jet fighter-esque off-road chassis.
- A ½″ chain-and-sprocket door counterweight system.
- New stainless shelf designs.
- Real polished copper detailing.
- A lot more 12mm steel.
- Revised 10mm 304 stainless grates for both the cooking chamber and the direct-heat insulated firebox.
- Further under-the-hood revisions across almost every part of the pit.

We may have got a bit carried away with it, but that’s what the Terraton is all about. It’s our chance to throw caution to the wind and build the pit we’ve always dreamed of. The Mk.3 is the furthest we’ve taken it yet; at around 1.6 tonnes, with the new chassis, the copper detailing and the gloriously overdone counterweight mechanisms, it’s every bit as awesome as we’d hoped.

So here it is, the Banshee 725.

The aim was to retain the classic bones of an American offset, while still making the Banshee visually outrageous. Then load it with features, push the performance as far as we could and keep the price genuinely hard to beat at this scale.

Quick spec rundown: 5 metres long, deliberately overbuilt, with steel thicknesses running all the way up to 20mm, a huge ceramic fibre insulated firebox, near-weightless doors balanced by massive counterweights on bearings, our tuneable XL Dual-Flow system for hotspot and vertical heat control, four slide-out laser-cut grates, four calibratable Tel-Tru x Leviathan Pits gauges, and a folding chimney.

Fixed chassis versions start from £10,000 ex VAT, with all the bells and whistles included. At the customer’s request, this first build sits on an absolutely insane off-road chassis with four 730 mm all-terrain wheels.

Very grateful to have our good friend Keith Moon joining us to burn this beast in over the weekend.

Leviathan Pits USA is coming.

250 years later, the British are back, and we left the tea at home.

Happy 4th, America!

The rumors are true. We’re expanding operations into the US and opening a Kansas City, Missouri HQ and fabrication site to bring Leviathan Pits stateside. Designed in Britain and now also made in the US.

Feast your eyes on this recently delivered, specced out Fractal 90.

This one has a new fixed counterweight option, developed by special request, whilst still keeping the folding stack setup for easy transport/storage.

Alongside the counterweight, this one features two internal charcoal baskets for quick midweek cooks, 600°C high-temp black paint with a linseed oil coating for extra weather resistance, a firebox searing grate, folding stainless shelf and, of course, the wild off-road chassis.

One of the meaner looking F90s to leave the HQ 😤

Leviathan Pits x Ember, 2026.

This summer we’re heading out with James Peck and the team at Ember for a season of epic live-fire cooking across the UK.

We’ll have a whole armada of kit out with us, from smokers to live fire units, with Ember cooking the way they do at the restaurant: serious plates, big flavour and the kind of techniques that push live fire cooking to another level.

Come and meet the teams, see the pits in person...and come hungry

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Ashley Tunley to team Leviathan as a brand ambassador.

Ashley is the head pitmaster behind Big Smoke BBQ and The Beefy BBQ with The Beefy Boys. If you saw the recent OnlyScrans video on Texas style BBQ in Hereford, you’ll understand why this felt like such a natural fit.

He’ll be bringing a whole host of pit knowledge into the Leviathan community through cooks, classes and straight answers for anyone wanting to learn more about the nuances of craft barbecue.

For any questions about his setup, his cooking, or getting on one of his next classes, please give him a follow at Big Smoke BBQ

You can also come and see Ashley cooking with us at Meat Up Festival on the 2nd of August, with lots more events planned throughout the year.
