We’re currently at 171 followers, and we’ve set ourselves a little challenge to reach 200 so we can try out Instagram’s Trial Reels.

Trial Reels let us test some of the more experimental videos we’ve been making with people who don’t already follow us, which could be a really useful way for us to find more people who love farm life, rural Scotland and what we’re building here at Loch View Farm.

Shaky Bridge – Funtullich Circular

The Shaky Bridge… not quite so shaky anymore! 👀

This lovely circular route takes you through the Carroglen Valley, with beautiful views and plenty of opportunities for little legs to walk along the outward section.

A few things to know if you’re heading out with toddlers:

🌿 At this time of year, parts of the trail can be very overgrown with bracken, some of it over 5ft tall!
💧 There’s also a burn to cross along the way.
🚗 The return route follows the Glen Lednock Road, so we’d recommend a carrier for toddlers and keeping dogs on leads.

We took a leisurely 2 hours 45 minutes, including plenty of toddler walking and a lunch stop beside a lot of ducks. 🦆

And the Poco? Apparently the perfect place for an afternoon nap. 😴

This is the third walk in our series of local routes, all within easy reach of Loch View Farm, from family-friendly strolls to longer days out in the hills.
