Yew Tree Farm is the home of Heritage Meats, Yew Tree Farm Weddings and The Herdwick Experience 🤗 My meat is now sold nationally.

Yew Tree Farm is home to Heritage Meats where Herdwick sheep and Belted Galloway cattle are reared by traditional methods to produce award winning Belted Galloway beef and Herdwick Hogget. It's amazing flavour and quality is well recognised and is endorsed by some of the countries very top chefs. Heritage Meats has an online shop www.heritagemeats.co.uk
I also have an on site butchery. So if you

are in the area, you are welcome to call in to Yew Tree farm, as many of you do, where I will be more than happy to butcher anything from a single chop or joint to a full animal while you wait. Yew Tree Farm was recognised by Beatrix Potter as having outstanding wildlife value. So much so that she bought Yew Tree and donated it to the National Trust to protect it. I farm today using the same traditional Methods used in Beatrix Potter's day. I'm proud to be custodian of some of the most precious and treasured habitat in the UK!

Fell-raised, flavour-packed, and ready for the bbq (or the oven, if the weather has other plans!)

Our Herdwick Hogget, Herdwick Mutton and Belted Galloway Beef come from animals roaming freely across 700 acres of herb-rich fells right here in the Yewdale Valley.

And don't just take our word for it.. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall called our Hogget "among the finest" he's tasted 😊

It was great to welcome Helen Skelton to the farm recently for the start of a family-friendly community walk.

The event kicked off with a special reading hosted by Helen, marking Beatrix Potter's 160th birthday, followed by a guided family walk around beautiful Tarn Hows. Everyone then headed back to the farm for well-earned refreshments.

With warm sunshine and even warmer company, it was a brilliant day - thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special! ☀️
