We’re proud to have played our part in bringing Sawtry Swimming Pool back to life.

Closed since 2022, this community facility has now reopened following a £600,000 restoration - featured on BBC News this week.

Our scope of works:
• Fully automated pool plant room
• New electricals
• Tile repair and replacement
• Acid wash
• Re-grout
• New grating
• New steps
• P rails
• Sump covers
• On-site team training

All to bring the pool back open for use for the local community.

Seaham Hall – Outdoor Pools & Cold Plunge (Near Completion)

We’re coming to the end of a 6-week installation at Seaham Hall, delivering two outdoor stainless steel pools alongside cold plunge filtration systems

The main challenge on this project has been the layout and infrastructure:

• Two separate pool systems housed within a single plant room
• Elevated pool positions relative to the plant space
• Approximately 50 metres of flexible pipework runs serving the pools
• Careful routing, support, and balancing of flow across both systems

Both pools and the cold plunge have been designed as fully automated systems, with integrated control over dosing, filtration, and temperature.

The system also includes remote pool management, allowing monitoring, control, and fault response off-site.

Final stages now focused on commissioning, testing, and optimisation ahead of handover.

Good effort from the team to get everything aligned on a technically demanding install.

Leaking pool or loose tiles?

Our fully qualified PADI divers tackle essential underwater repairs so your pool stays open without having to drain your pool.

We handle:
👉 Tile & grout repairs
👉 Leak detection & sealing
👉 Fitting replacements (main drains, inlets, lights)
👉 Surface crack inspection & patching

Why drain thousands of litres of water (and disrupt your swimmers) when we can fix it underwater?

Trusted by aquatic & leisure centres, hotels, and commercial pools across the UK for over 20 years.

Most people never think about what’s in pool and hot tub water. If it looks clean, it must be fine.

But we know that’s not always the case.

This week we’ve been out doing our regular water testing for:
🔹monthly bacteriological testing
🔹quarterly Legionella sampling

It’s the kind of job no one notices, but it’s one of the most important things we do.

Especially in spa pools and hot tubs, where warm temperatures and heavy use create the perfect environment for bacteria if things aren’t looked after properly.

It’s not the kind of work that gets much attention — but it’s what keeps everything running safely in the background.

Clean water isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about what’s in it… and what isn’t.

Our engineers have been back in the Lake District this week for another Plant Room Upgrade.

The most important part of a swimming pool isn’t the water — it’s what’s behind the water.

Here’s a look inside a newly refurbished pool plant room — and what you’re seeing is a serious upgrade in performance, efficiency, and lifespan:
🔹AFM® Filtration Media replaces old sand — filtering 30% better, lasting over 20 years, and reducing chlorine demand.
🔹Upgraded pipework & layout improves flow rates and fluid dynamics, cutting resistance and boosting circulation.
🔹Automation & control systems bring smart monitoring, precise dosing, and real-time data — no more guesswork.

The result?
🔹Up to 50% less backwash water
🔹Significant energy savings
🔹A system built to last — and perform

You might never step into the plant room — but it’s the reason the water stays crystal clear, energy bills go down, and the pool keeps running day after day.

Did You Know? There’s a whole hidden world behind your swimming pool that most people never see…

Tucked away out of sight is the plant room — the engine that keeps the water clean, flowing, and safe to swim in.

Our engineer visited a pool today that hadn’t been serviced in quite a while — and here’s what we found:
• A strainer basket full of hair and debris, blocking flow and making the pump work overtime.
• A fine mesh filter completely clogged — no water getting through properly.
• And dosing probes that should be helping disinfect the water… but were overdue a clean and replacement.

These parts work hard in the background every day, and like any engine, they need regular maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.

So next time you jump in a pool, just remember — there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to make that perfect swim happen.

Flow Issues? Here’s What We Found on a Recent Call-Out

We were recently called to investigate a site experiencing significant flow problems. The cause? A completely blocked pump inlet, as seen in the images.

Over time, a build-up of debris and corrosion had restricted water flow to the point of near-total failure. The system was still running, but performance had dropped dramatically — a classic case of unseen internal issues causing major operational inefficiencies.

We fully dismantled and cleaned the pump housing, restoring flow and ensuring the system could operate as intended.

Routine inspections and preventative maintenance are key to avoiding costly downtime like this.

If you’re noticing reduced flow or pressure issues, it’s worth having your plant room checked over before it escalates.
