A N O T E F R O M K I M 🤍

It is with a heavy heart that I will shortly be bidding farewell to my coffee van ☕

I closed the business over winter to reflect on how I wanted to move forward and I've made the decision that for now, I'll be moving my focus back to cakes, bakes and buffets/grazing tables.

I have LOVED the events I've attended over the last five years, however most of you will know I've always juggled these alongside my other job and I've got to a point where I need to re-gain some work life balance.

I adore my van, which my Dad and I lovingly curated from an empty shell, so I'm really hopeful that somebody will be keen to buy it as a coffee van, as it's a really great ready to go business for somebody.

I'll be shortly listing the van for sale, so if you know anyone who may be interested please let me know.

For now though, I have had the time to be able to fall back in love with baking all over again, so I can't wait to keep creating special cakes for you all 🫶

H A P P Y F I R S T B I R T H D A Y 🩷

It's been lovely to have a bit more free time, but the handful of cakes I have still done, in a more leisurely way, have made me fall back in love with baking all over again.

There are some changes afoot for Kim's cakes and bakes, but I'm still here and just finding the joy in it all again ✨

A little note from Kim 🧡

I’m approaching my final two events of the year this month and I have decided it’s then time to take a little break from all things Kim’s for a while, this will only be for new orders so please don’t worry if you’ve already booked in, your cake will still be made I promise!

Most of you know that Kim’s Cakes and Bakes isn’t my only job and juggling it can be tricky at times, so I felt like now was a good time, when it’s naturally quieter anyway to take a step back from all things cake and coffee for a while and treat myself to a little free time this winter.

When I started this little venture nearly five years ago, I never imagined what it might become and I’m so proud of the journey so far, but I don’t want to fall out of love with baking, so it feels like the right thing to do, to take a little step back and maybe do some crazy things like watch TV for an evening?!
