Checking my countryside Apiary this afternoon, All 5 hives are doing well, the bee numbers are still high in the hives and the Ivy is about to come into flower, with good weather the bees will harvest up to 2lb of honey per day, unfortunately this honey crystallises in a very short time, it's great for winter Bee stores!!!

Honey collection this week from Northgate, only a few frames collected, I have left many frames of honey for winter feed for the bees,

High temperature, The bees are foraging and only just getting by in these drought conditions, water is scarce for our pollinators please top up birdbaths or leave a shallow plate of water 💦

This year's Honey 🍯, I have taken off an excess from a few hives, this picture is frames of sealed honey taken from a Super section above the Brood, I take off the wax cappings and spin the honey out of the frames and I return the frames to the original hive for the Bees to clean and reuse,
The extracted honey is sieved and put into a settling tank, and after a couple of days it can be popped into jars.
