Late evening swarm from Thwaite st, this swarm was 12 feet up in a conifer, the bees eventually settled about 9:15 pm, I had to vacuum out this embedded swarm very carefully, this colony is enjoying the safety of a Nuc and I have popped a feed on to help them establish a strong colony.

my Swarm this evening is from Kirk-ella near the Beech tree pub, this swarm had been there for four or five days, nice placid bees and went into the Nuc easily.
this Swarm is now in a Cottingham Apiary 🐝

This very agitated swarm of bees was spread thinly over a wide area, and a quarter of the bees swirling above, these inconsolable bees had just lost their queen, I found her body and placed it in the Nuc box, these poor bees eventually went in.
unfortunately these bees may have to be merged with another colony later.
RIP Queen Bee.

This Evenings Collection was in North Ferriby, this was a good sized swarm on the end gable above a Porch, about 11 feet off the ground, Bee vacuum used to collect because the bees where wrapped around the gable end and under the ridge tiles, I met some really nice and considerate residents who made really good Tea!

This Afternoons Swarm collection was in New Holland, these bees had been on a fence post overnight but where quite active, I used a bee vacuum unit to collect this swarm over 1& 1/2 Hours to collect the foraging bees as they returned.

Barton Bee Night! this evening I picked up a swarm from Barton Upon Humber, because of the height and access I had to use a Bee vacuum and box to collect this swarm, these bees had been residents here since Saturday, Difficulty 9/10.
I received great hospitality and Tea whilst the rain subsided.

Today's Swarm was picked up by Myself and Gill, at Kent Rd Cottingham, Gill has just started up Beekeeping again after a short break, These lovely bees are now in a shared Apiary in Cottingham.
