Raw Milk Dairy - G & A Adderson. We are a small scale dairy farm producing and selling raw milk and rose veal. Milk is £2.00 per litre.

We are a small scale dairy farm and have 25 milking cows and young stock. Our family have been farming at Lodge Farm and selling raw milk for nearly 100 years. We don't buy in any cows and all the cows here today were born here. This has the advantage of limiting the risk of disease being introduced into the herd. Although not certified organic we don't use pesticides or herbicides and we don't t

reat the cows with antibiotics unless necessary. The cows are free range and are out at pasture, eating grass in the spring, summer and autumn. The cows are kept in during the winter and are fed home grown grass silage. You are more than welcome to come directly to the farm and collect your milk. It is advisable to order your milk in advance to guarantee we have enough for you.

Calf is up and looking for breakfast!

The best course of action was to slowly walk her home and investigate, to feel where the other leg was. On examination it was found that the second leg was bent at the knee. Between contractions we managed to push the calf back in, which gave us enough room to manipulate the bent leg, forwards. We then attached a calving rope, which allowed us to help her give birth as easily as possible.

Not the sight you want to see, first thing in the morning. A cow in active labour with only 1 foot and the nose showing. To give birth, you need to have 2 feet in position and then the nose.

We have a local litter picking group and lots of villagers also regularly pick. This is a snapshot of what has been picked around North Crawley, in the last 12 months. Please take your litter home and dispose of it properly.
