The Kitchen Cabinet is coming to The Cider Works!

We’re incredibly excited to be hosting a live recording of BBC Radio 4’s much-loved food and drink panel show with Jay Rayner on 23rd June.

Expect expert panellists, plenty of laughs, great food from Darts Farm and, of course, lots of cider flowing at the bar. Our doors will open at 4pm for food and drink, seating for the show starts around 6pm.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Barny was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to the Cider Industry at the Royal Bath & West Show last week. And no he's not that old, he just started young!!

The award recognises not only Barny’s work at Sandford Orchards, but also his wider contribution to the cider industry over many years — from mentoring emerging cider makers and championing collaboration, to helping preserve lost cider apple varieties through DNA research with the University of Bristol.

As Royal Bath & West judge and author James Crowden put it:

“Barny Butterfield has over many years given sterling service to the cider industry and given Devon cider the boost that it desperately needed.”
