Masterchef finalist Chris Georgiou’s number one rated restaurant is now here in Crediton, but this time for you to enjoy at home! We are proud to say that every sauce, relish and dessert is made by hand to ensure our food is healthier, fresher and full of flavour. Every burger we serve is made by us using three cuts of 21 day dry aged beef, using only native breeds who are fed on a healthy diet of

grass and cereal. They are seasoned, blended and minced to our exact specifications to create what we think is the perfect burger. Gastronomical To Go believes in supporting local businesses that produce excellent ingredients. Subsequently all our ingredients are locally sourced and where possible locally produced. All our meat is high welfare and produced by Jim, Karen and Jonathan Stephens at Swannaton Farm and supplied by Steve Nicholls and his team at Cox Butchers. Our fresh fruit and vegetables are supplied by Jim and Sue at Four Seasons. All highly acclaimed and long established businesses in Crediton.

First of all I’d like to apologise for how long it’s taken me to respond to all your amazing messages. As you can imagine it’s been an incredibly difficult time and last Friday, the 7th of March, we held a celebration of Mel’s life, in Lynton, Devon. Where she was born and her favourite place in the world.

Ethan, Phoebe and I would like to thank you all for your amazing messages of love and support both over the last two years and in the last month since we’ve lost Mel.

All your messages brought enormous comfort to not just me, Phoebe and Ethan but also her extended family, friends and anyone who loved her.

The amazing, generous donations you made to Ethan and Phoebe’s Go Fund Me allowed us to completely forget about any financial pressures and focus purely on each other.

It also brought Mel so much peace knowing that we’d have time after she left us to mourn and rebuild. Thank you so much.

We received literally hundreds of messages from everywhere we’ve lived including Dublin, Manchester, Formby, Worcester and London. It’s also been so touching to see how much love people had for Mel in Devon despite our relatively short time here.

Ethan, Phoebe and I thank you all, you all play a part in Mel’s story. x

I am so sad to have to tell you that on Monday night we lost my beautiful wife.
Anyone who knew or even briefly met Melanie will know she was the kindest person, purest soul and best wife and mother.
Thank you for all your kind messages over the last year, and know that they do bring comfort.
My children, Ethan and Phoebe, and I now have some difficult hurdles to overcome.
I have no doubt that eventually we will focus on how lucky we were to be loved by such an amazing woman.

Hi everyone, we thought it was time to give you an update. As you know we closed last June as a result of illness. Mel was diagnosed with cancer and began her treatment last year including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Our hope was that we could then look to potentially reopen in the first half of 2024. It has now become apparent that Mel will need extensive surgery and convalescence if all goes well.
Realistically, this would mean we would be looking at the latter end of 2024, if at all, for any reopening. Subsequently we have decided to close down permanently and fully focus on Mel’s recovery.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to Andy Gray at M C Kelly, the owner of our premises, who has been unbelievable. He has given us every possible chance to get back…we have been so touched by his and his teams support.
Most importantly we would also like to thank you. We are in shock at how many messages of support we have had over the last 9 months. People regularly checking on Mel’s condition, incredibly kind messages and even offers of financial support! Crediton truly is a real community and we feel so touched at how it has embraced us despite our relatively short period operating there.
We are remaining positive Mel will make a full recovery and hope that we will see you all again in some guise, somewhere in the future (keep following for updates).

Just wanted to thank everyone for their lovely messages, texts and even calls…Mel has been really touched.

We are still not in a position to open this week and realistically it may be some time before we do. We will of course let you know.

We are very sorry to advise that we won’t be opening at all this week.

Mel has been unwell and on Sunday was admitted to hospital.

Massive apologies if you were planning to visit us this week but we hope to be in a position to see you all soon.
