Job Opportunity.
Dairy Engineer and team leader:
Your job would entail all the normal Dairy Engineer task but as team leader all I would ask extra of you is to organize installations, sort out the on call rotor and generally lead staff on a day to day basis.
Our business has different branches so to speak, I have split them out and listed below;
Manufacturing:
We manufacture stall work, backing gates, divert systems and AI Races to our own design in our fabrication workshop.
Milking Equipment Suppliers:
We are partnered with Milking Equipment dealers include MilktechNZ, ATL, Pearson International, ND Jeans Engineering and many others.
Robotic Calve Feeders:
We are the South West Dealer for JFC Evolution installing and maintaining there automatic calf feeders.
We were the UK’s largest supplier of JFC Evolution automatic calf Feeders last year and are well on course to top that this year.
Each day is never the same. You will cover a variety of tasks such as;
Manufacturing stall work at the depot, installing complete milking machines on farm, Installing JFC equipment and servicing, Travelling to different sites, diagnosing milking machine issues, attending breakdowns, servicing and testing parlours.
Desirable:
Experience with power tools such as drills, welders, grinders.
Agricultural background, knowledge of milking equipment or dairy farming.
MEA parlour safe accreditation.
Essential:
Drivers license.
Comfortable in a farming environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work alone and in a small team.
Available to work overtime in busy periods and cover evening or weekend breakdowns on a rotor basis.
Training:
MEA Parlour safe training available
JFC Evolution training available
MilktechNZ training available
What we would like to offer:
Full time role
45hrs week
Paid breaks
On call one week and weekend in three with retainer.
