The rain is absolutely pouring down, and these four posies are far too lovely to leave sitting out in it at the farm gate!
So today’s freshly picked Curriott Hill Flower Farm posies are staying safely in the dry. We have just four available, each one a little different and made this morning using flowers and foliage grown here on the farm. 💐

A beautiful morning at Curriott Hill Flower Farm, cutting fresh flowers and foliage ready to make this weekend’s posies.

The zinnias are looking absolutely glorious at the moment, and I’m mixing them with our hydrangeas, berries and plenty of foliage — all grown right here on the farm. 🌿💐

They’ll be freshly arranged and on the farm-gate stall this weekend.

Freshly cut here at Curriott Hill Flower Farm, Crewkerne and now on our little farm-gate stall.

These flowers really are local — some have travelled less than 300 metres from field to gate. 🌿

Our family has been farming here since 1937, and we're now growing seasonal flowers and foliage right here on the farm.

Our Jam Jar Posies and Large Seasonal Bouquets are grown here at Curriott Hill, with most stems travelling less than 300 metres from where they're grown to our farm gate.

Fennel
Rosemary

All £2.50 each

Perfect for growing in pots by the back door, on a patio, or planted out in the garden - ready to pick fresh whenever you're cooking.

Basil is lovely with tomatoes 🍅, pasta and salads, Parsley is a brilliant everyday kitchen herb, fennel brings a soft aniseed flavour and rosemary is perfect with roast potatoes, breads and summer cooking.

Little roots, big future plants 🌱

Yesterday we lifted a few Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Madame Emile Mouillère’ cuttings from our sand bed to see how they were getting on.

These were put into the sand on 16th July, so seeing roots forming already feels like a very encouraging little moment.

They’ve now been carefully potted up so they can continue growing on and, hopefully, become part of our future hydrangea stock here at Curriott Hill Farm.

It’s one of those quiet behind-the-scenes jobs that doesn’t look dramatic at first — but every rooted cutting is a tiny step towards more plants, more flowers and more stems in the years ahead.
