The latest releases in our Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur campaign feature two of the vintage’s most highly acclaimed wines, alongside one of Bordeaux’s finest second labels.

At Château Montrose, the remarkable ascent under the Bouygues family continues. Produced exclusively from the estate’s celebrated Terrace 4 parcels, the 2025 is one of the most profound and complete wines we have tasted at this address, combining exceptional concentration with aromatic detail, structural precision, and classical balance. It has earned widespread critical acclaim, including 98–100 points from and , 97–100 from , and 100 points from .magazin. Kelley described it as “a timeless classic in the making”.

Also released is La Dame de Montrose, produced from the same vineyard as the grand vin but with a greater proportion of Merlot and a shorter élevage. Consistently ranked among Bordeaux’s finest second wines, the 2025 promises all the pedigree and precision of Montrose in a style that will provide enjoyment considerably sooner.

In Pomerol, Château La Conseillante has once again delivered one of the appellation’s most beautifully refined wines. Under Marielle Cazaux, significant investment in both vineyard and cellar has taken quality to new heights, and the 2025 is a soaring, silky expression that stands among the finest wines of the appellation this year. It is rated 97–100 points by , 98–100 by , 97–98 by .suckling and a perfect 100 by .magazin. Leve described it as “pure silk, velvet, and cashmere”.

🌟 World Verdejo Day Tasting | Finca Montepedroso Rueda 2025 🌟

Free In-Store Tasting | Today & Saturday 13th June, 12pm–5pm 🍷

Today we’re celebrating World Verdejo Day with a standout example from one of Rueda’s most respected estate producers.

Finca Montepedroso (meaning “Mountain of stones”) takes its name from its stony soils, which provide excellent natural drainage and help concentrate character in the vines. Located in Rueda, Valladolid, in the heart of the DO that shares its name, the estate sits at 750m altitude and forms part of the Grandes Pagos of Spain, with 25 hectares of estate vineyards dedicated entirely to Verdejo 🍇

With over 130 years of tradition behind the Familia Martínez Bujanda, the philosophy here is all about returning Verdejo to its purest, most authentic expression. Grapes are 100% estate-grown, harvested at night to preserve freshness, then fermented with native yeasts at low temperature in stainless steel to lock in aromatics and vibrancy. The wine is then aged sur lie for five months with regular bâtonnage, building texture and complexity while retaining its bright, fresh character.

Mid-lemon in colour with green highlights, this is a vibrant, expressive Verdejo. The nose is intense and layered, showing apricot, peach cream, fennel, and grapefruit peel, while the palate delights with zesty lime, lemongrass and mineral notes, with a voluminous body, zippy acidity, and a long finish, tapering with a gentle green almond and aniseed note 🍈

🍽 Perfect with fresh seafood, creamy pasta dishes, tacos, or summer salads.

The latest releases in our Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur campaign showcase a standout selection from an exceptional vintage, alongside two compelling value-driven highlights.

A visit to Château Ausone is always a highlight. Set on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, the 2025 is one of the wines of the vintage: perfectly balanced and deeply composed, with brooding berry fruit, sleek tannins, dark mineral intensity and an extraordinarily long, precise finish. A truly stunning expression, it is rated 97–100 points by Robert Parker Wine Advocate and 99–100 by James Suckling, with William Kelley noting “extraordinary potential” and remarkable refinement.

In Pomerol, Vieux Château Certan is superb once again under Alexandre Thienpont. Built on old-vine concentration from one of the appellation’s greatest terroirs, the 2025 is generous and layered, with plum fruit, exotic spice, cocoa and silky tannins. A classic, cellar-worthy Pomerol, it is rated 98–99 by James Suckling and 98 points by Jane Anson, who called it, “a gorgeous wine that deserves attention.”

At Château Léoville Las Cases, the 2025 shows power and precision from this exceptional terroir, with cassis, graphite and deep mineral drive, alongside outstanding structure, purity and class. It is rated 97–100 points by Jeb Dunnuck and 98–100 by Jeff Level (The Wine Cellar Insider). Its single-vineyard bottling, Clos du Marquis, offers a more approachable expression of the house style, rated 93–95 by Dunnuck and 94–95 by James Suckling, with praise for its purity and balance.

Finally, Château Capbern continues to stand out as one of Bordeaux’s best-value wines. The 2025 is fresh and composed, with brambly black fruit, cedar and chalky finesse. It is rated 92–94 points by Vinous and 93–95 by Jeb Dunnuck, with critics highlighting it as one of its strongest recent releases.

The latest releases in our Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur campaign showcase four of the vintage's standout wines: Châteaux Margaux, Figeac, Pavie-Macquin and Léoville Poyferré.

At Château Margaux, the JN team encountered one of the wines of the vintage. The 2025 combines breathtaking aromatic purity and expansiveness, with layers of dark berries, violets and pencil shavings framed by powdery tannins and vibrant freshness. William Kelley Robert Parker Wine Advocate awarded 97–100 points, while Jane Anson remarked: "I don't give 100 points En Primeur, but if I did, this would get it."

In Saint-Émilion, Château Figeac continues its exceptional run of form. We were delighted to be welcomed by co-owner Marie-France Manoncourt during Primeurs week, where the 2025 impressed with its concentration, structure and completeness. Ripe plum fruit, gravelly minerality and finely integrated tannins underpin a wine built for long-term ageing. William Kelley awarded 97–99 points, with Jeff Leve of The Wine Cellar Insider going even higher at 98–100 points.

Also in Saint-Émilion, Château Pavie-Macquin delivers another outstanding expression of the limestone plateau. Under Nicolas and Cyrille Thienpont, the estate continues to refine its style towards greater freshness and transparency. The 2025 combines fresh red & black fruit, florality and striking limestone character with exceptional balance and ageing potential. James Suckling awarded 97–98 points, while Antonio Galloni of Vinous called it "a powerful, structured wine" worthy of 95–97 points.

Finally, Château Léoville Poyferré once again demonstrates why Saint-Julien remains a benchmark for quality and value. The 2025 offers classic cassis, cedar and cigar box notes alongside lacy tannins and impressive freshness. Jeb Dunnuck awarded 96–98 points, describing it as a "beautifully balanced 2025 in the making."

Bordeaux En Primeur 2025 | Rauzan-Ségla, Canon & Les Carmes Haut-Brion Releases 🍷

The latest releases in our Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur campaign feature three of the JN team's favourite wines from Primeurs week: Château Rauzan-Ségla, Château Canon and Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

In Margaux, Château Rauzan-Ségla once again delivered one of the most impressive wines of the appellation. As you'll see in the videos, we had the opportunity to taste the 2025 directly from barrel - one of the very few estates to offer this experience during Primeurs. The wine combines a beautifully lifted bouquet of violets and peonies with a silky texture and refreshing sapidity, balancing elegance and precision in equal measure. Jeff Level of The Wine Cellar Insider awarded 97–99 points, describing it as "seamless" with decades of ageing potential.

At Château Canon, perched atop Saint-Émilion's famed limestone plateau, the move towards a more mineral, terroir-driven style continues to gather momentum. The 2025 is perhaps the purest expression yet, showing rose petals, chalk dust, sleek tannins and vibrant acidity, all carried through to a long, mineral finish. Antonio Galloni of Vinous called it "a total stunner", awarding 98–100 points, while James Suckling awarded it 98–99.

Finally, Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion continues to redefine expectations in Bordeaux under Guillaume Pouthier's visionary direction. Organic and biodynamic farming, whole-bunch fermentation and innovative élevage have helped forge one of the region's most distinctive styles. Tasted in the striking Philippe Starck-designed chai, with the estate's Percheron horses working the vines outside, the 2025 impressed us with its aromatic complexity, palate density and reverberating finish. James Suckling awarded 99–100 points, with Peter Moser of Falstaff going one step further and awarding a perfect 100.

As ever, quantities are limited and allocations will be made as fairly as possible.

Bordeaux En Primeur 2025 | Phélan Ségur, d’Issan & Brane-Cantenac Releases 🍷

The latest releases in our Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur campaign feature three standout wines from the Médoc: Château Phélan Ségur, Château d’Issan and Château Brane-Cantenac.

Our tastings this year confirmed the continued rise of Château Phélan Ségur in Saint-Estèphe, where significant investment under Véronique Dausse has established one of the appellation’s most exciting estates. The 2025 is, in our view, the finest vintage we have tasted - combining cassis, graphite and earthy sapidity with a velvety, beautifully balanced palate. It has been widely praised, including 94–96 points from Jeb Dunnuck and 96–97 from James Suckling.

In Margaux, Château d’Issan continues its impressive ascent under Emmanuel Cruse. Our visit was a highlight of En Primeur week, set in the château’s truly stunning surroundings: a grand, historic estate with a beautifully regal interior that reflects the heritage of d’Issan. The 2025 shows classical stature and poise, with cedary perfume, tender fruit and a noble structure. Neal Martin of Vinous awarded 93–95 points, while James Suckling scored it 96–97 points.

Also in Margaux, Château Brane-Cantenac delivered one of the most compelling wines of the commune. Under Henri Lurton and his family, it remains one of the benchmark Second Growths, and the 2025 is a classic expression – fragrant and precise, with remarkable concentration allied to Margaux finesse. Marking 100 years of the Lurton family at the estate, it carries a special commemorative label. Jeb Dunnuck awarded 96–98 points.

As ever, quantities are limited and allocations will be made as fairly as possible.
