GB Poultry Ltd is a family owned business based in Crossgar in the rolling countryside of County Down. There are 7 Directors in the company, all from the Bell family and are personally involved and committed to the general day to day running and operating of the business. We are a EC Approved Cutting plant and are guided by the department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DAERA). We supply a w

ide range of Whole Chicken, Flash Fried Chicken, Sauces, Cooked Chicken, Turkeys and other meat products where needed. These products are freshly prepared poultry products for both retail and catering industries throughout the Northern Ireland and Ireland. The company’s aim is to achieve the highest levels of quality and safety with food that is wholesome and nutritious and of the quality that customers demand. The company will endeavor to meet all food safety, legislation, processing, marketing, distribution and technical requirements to produce products that both meet and rise above customer requirements. GB Poultry encourage participation and promotion of quality responsibilities amongst all employees through standards, training, supervision and effective communication.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Shane Hanna.

Shane was a valued member of our team, and his loss is felt by everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Shane’s family and loved ones.

May he rest in peace 💔

Died 7th April 2026 peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

Beloved son of Tom and the late Elizabeth. Loving father to Lucy and Jack. Much loved brother of Brendan, Jason and Lee. Cherished uncle to Rhys, Kieran, Iain, Chloe and Joshua.

Shane’s remains will repose at his late residence 9 Martin Green, Shrigley on Friday 10th April 2026 from 2.00pm. His remains will then leave on Saturday morning at 9.00am to arrive at Roselawn Crematorium for a 10.00am Funeral Service.

‘The Lord is my Shepherd, There is nothing I shall want.’
