Some absolutely gorgeous autumn colours cut from the field this morning 🍂

This could be the last cut of the dahlias, there's a frost coming Friday night!

We're flipping beds, putting some under cover for the winter, direct sowing seeds and making up probably some of the last of this season's bouquets.

As we sneak towards the end of the season we're already looking forward to next year and spring flowers.

My ranunculus corms arrived this week and in October we'll be getting them started ready for April/May next year.

I can't wait to be cutting armfuls of these absolute stunners 😍

In the meantime we've been busy picking today for our last wedding of the season AND working on a new area of the farm 😱

We can't wait to show you what we've been up to!

Beautiful bright late summer blooms picked fresh this morning 🌼🏵️💮

The field feels like it's slowing down now the daylight hours are reducing.

I'm already thinking about next season and what we might do differently, especially at this time of the year, I need to look at what's available and grow more of it for this part of the year.

I'm still learning so much about flower farming which I absolutely love, that process of learning a new skill and being a sponge to all of that new information, there is always time to learn something new!

I was called a geek and a swot growing up and I hated it, it made me feel so awkward and I felt it as a real negative... BUT... they were right! And I flipping LOVE it! It's definitely not a negative and for years now I've lent into my swot/geek status proudly!
