My introduction to Indian curry came when I worked in London. On Fridays after work, we’d head to Soho, where I discovered delights such as lime pickle, matar paneer—“cheesy peas”—and chicken jalfrezi.

These days, my go-to is chicken biryani. The Friday-night tradition is still going strong, although now it’s more likely to arrive as a home delivery! There’s always lime pickle on the side and, of course, our own mango chutney.

What’s your go-to curry? “Chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna, prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan and nine poppadoms,” anybody?

🌶️ It’s so we couldn’t resist showing this spicy duo off together! Both bring bags of flavour to your cheeseboard and as an ingredient in cooking!

🌶️ SHARPHAM RUSTIC WITH SMOKED CHILLI is a bold twist on a Devon classic - our original semi hard Rustic - creamy, lactic, and rich - taken to new heights with a warming blend of smoked chillies.

We fold in flakes of fruity Ancho and smoky Chipotle, along with a spicy Numex mix from our friends at South Devon Chilli Farm, chosen for their unique qualities: deep, smoky heat rather than a fiery burn.

The result is a cheese that’s complex, gently spicy, and beautifully balanced.

🌶️ Our SCOTCH BONNET CHILLI JAM is made just a few miles from our dairy by fellow Devon family-run producer, Highfield Preserves, which began life in 1984 at Jennifer Fraser’s family AGA.

Together, Sharpham and Highfield have created a sweet, fruity, fiery, chilli kick that’s made to complement our artisan cheeses, from creamy Sharpham Rustic and buttery Brie to our three-star award Savour and Ticklemore Goat.

We’re so excited to share some wonderful news: our Raspberry Jam has officially been awarded Best in Class in the Sweet Preserves and Honey category at the 2025 Taste of the West Awards!

To say we’re delighted would be an understatement. This jam is one of the products we’re most proud of, and knowing that the judges loved it as much as we do means the world to us.

We’ll be proudly displaying our new Taste of the West award badge, and we can’t wait for even more people to discover (or rediscover!) our award-winning Raspberry Jam.

Here’s to many more sweet moments ahead.
