Food-to-Go Evening Prep Team Member

Location: Cullompton, Southwest Sandwich Company

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated team member to join our Food-to-Go department, helping to prepare delicious pre-made salads, sandwich fillings, snack pots and yogurt items that go out to coffee shops and other establishments across the region.

Key Details:
• Hours: Evening shifts, typically from around 2 PM or 4 PM until 10 PM.
• Pay: Dependent on experience
• Location: Based at Southwest Sandwich Company, Cullompton.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be hands-on in our food prep area, assembling ingredients, making sure each item is fresh and ready to go, and packaging them up for delivery to our clients. It’s a role that’s perfect for someone who enjoys the rhythm of food prep and likes working in a team environment to get tasty products out the door.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Food Production Manager to lead our production team in Cullompton. You will oversee day-to-day operations in our kitchens, ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role where strong leadership and organisation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production of sandwiches, savouries, and food to go production.

Manage and motivate a team of production staff.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and reduce waste.

Maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

Work closely with senior management on production planning and process improvements.

Train and develop staff to meet company standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in food production management (preferably in sandwiches, bakery, or food-to-go sector).

Strong knowledge of food safety (Level 3 Food Hygiene minimum, Level 4 desirable).

Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Ability to manage schedules, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
• Make outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers
