Always wanted to run your own business? Think you could be the next face behind Paul’s?

We’re looking for our future Butcher Manager to join the team and play a key role in the next chapter of Paul’s Quality Butchers.

Paul’s own journey in the trade started when he was just 13, after his gran got him an interview. He went on to learn his craft at Malcolm Allan with James and Gordon before eventually taking over their shop.

Since then, Paul has supported apprentices, developed butchers and built a business with family and the wider team at its heart.

Now, we’re looking for someone who wants to build on that legacy.

Whether you learned the trade through an apprenticeship, working in a traditional butcher’s, a supermarket or elsewhere, we’re looking for someone who:

- knows their craft
- is driven and motivated
- is passionate about butchery
- enjoys working with people
- wants to take the next step in their career

This could be a great opportunity for an experienced butcher ready to take on more responsibility and become a key part of the business.

Shopping locally is not only about comparing the number on the price label.

Price matters but so do portion size, preparation, choice and proper advice.

Pasty. Pale. Fatty. Side by side, the difference in these two samples is hard to miss. The supermarket mince appeared paler, softer and noticeably fattier. It might do the job for a burger, but we know which one we’d be taking home.

Looking for an easy week night dinner?

Choose from our creamy chicken & mushroom with peppers and onions in a creamy sauce, or spicy Cajun chicken with peppers and onions.

Both are perfect served with rice and veg and make getting dinner on the table that little bit easier.

Available at £8.95 each or double up with both for only £16.

For cooking: Preheat oven to 170° and cook for 35-40 minutes.

Our mince is made fresh in-store every day at Paul’s, starting with beef shoulder hand-cut by the team before being passed through our mincer twice.

Some mince is put through three times, but because we use a smaller mincer and prepare the beef by hand first, two passes give us the texture and consistency we’re looking for.

Mince is one of the most versatile ingredients. It can be used for burgers, meatballs, lasagne, cottage pie, chilli and so much more.
