Our Solitude Espresso makes a great iced latte! 🥵

We recently updated our single component, Solitude Espresso, with a coffee from Igamba, a town in the Mbozi district of Tanzania. Expect flavours of redcurrant, chocolate, honeycomb and treacle toffee in the cup.

It has a mild acidity and when made with milk, a comforting caramel sweetness comes to the fore. Ideal for serving over ice this summer.

Did you know we make all our own Hot Chocolate, right here at our Roastery in the heart of the Lakes. And right now if you buy a bag of our coffee then you can get 50% off our Hot Chocolate.

We start with the raw ingredients: cocoa mass, cocoa butter and sugar, milling them together to make chocolate to our own carefully thought out recipes.

All the ingredients are blended in our mill, which uses hundreds of stainless steel ball bearings to create a smooth end product, this is then placed on trays and cooled.

Once fully cooled the chocolate is then passed through our granulator multiple times until it’s just right for making our delicious Hot Chocolate, a lovely iced smoothie, or even baked into a brownie!

Our Roaster's Choice for June is here! This one comes from Calama La Paz in Bolivia with a comforting flavour profile of orange cordial and cola.

What to expect in the cup: This coffee is wholesome, well-rounded, and packed with layers of sweetness.

It opens with a rich, complex burst of deep orange flavour, reminiscent of a concentrated orange cordial. The vibrant citrus notes gradually soften and evolve into a smooth, sugary cola sweetness.

As the cup cools, delicate hints of maple syrup emerge, leaving a gentle warmth that lingers pleasantly on the palate. Wonderfully comforting and exceptionally easy to drink, this is a coffee you’ll find difficult to put down.
