Wow wow wow, what a weekend!
A very special 2026 Blacknose Beauties Valais Blacknose Show as it was the 10 year anniversary.
I am absolutely delighted that all 4 of my sheepies that I took to represent the Nithsdale flock performed outstandingly with 2 getting MAX -1 and 2 getting MAX points!! 🌟 All 4 of them have done brilliantly this show season with my 2 MAX point ewe lambs Nell and Nivalis so to finish the season with such high gradings amongst such esteemed breeders and high quality of sheep is incredible. 😍

Nithsdale Myree - MAX points 🌟
1st 🥇Gimmer 18 - 24 months.
🏆Reserve Female Champion🏆

Nithsdale Katori - MAX points 🌟
2nd 🥈 Ewe 2 - 3years

Nithsdale Laird Lachlan MAX -1

Well done to all other breeders and competitors, especially those with MAX points and Class Winners as well as Yorkshire Valais Blacknose , Cumberland Valais Blacknose Sheep and Valais Blacknose Sheep Suffolk - Ronevorg flock
for their Champions. A huge thanks to our Swiss Graders, organisers, the Valais Blacknose Society and everyone else who contributed to such a successful show in front as well as behind the scenes.

I am incredibly sore and exhausted today having also handled everyone's sheep all weekend but I just wanted to say it was truly incredible to see such high quality coming through the ring to get graded. The standard of Valais Blacknose sheep improves year on year and we all push each other to do even better with our sheep so the quality just keeps rising which can only be a positive thing for the breed in this country! To have almost a full contingency of MAX points in the Championships was truly astounding and shows how far we have come with the breed.❤️ What a feeling to be able to be one of the flocks that contribute to that. 🤯☺️ Nithsdale Valais Blacknose

I am absolutely over the moon with the results today and for the whole season to be honest. It's been blooming hard work all season considering I am a one woman band but most definitely worth it. 😅😊
Massive thanks to everyone who has helped along the way with fellow breeders helping in the ring, helping load and unload and taking photos and also to my amazing family and friends looking after my farm while I'm away and letting the doggies out. I wouldn't have been able to do any of these shows without you all! 🥰
Now a 2 week rest for the sheepies and then our last big show of the season at Blacknose Beauties!! 🤞🤞🤞

Only just getting to post now as I was late back yesterday as well as shattered and with a double check out check in on the farm with the lodges today, it has been a bonkers day! 🙈
I had an absolutely fantastic time at Black Isle Show over the past couple of days! It was wonderful to catch up with fellow breeders and see familiar faces that I've no seen since Black Isle show last year! Great to catch up and have some giggles! 😁🤭
The sheepies performed brilliantly again and I'm beyond pleased that we walked away with
1st 🥇Aged Tup with Nithsdale Laird Lachlan
2nd 🥈Shearling with Nithsdale Lammermore
1st 🥇 Aged Ewe with Nithsdale Katori
2nd 🥈 Gimmer with Nithsdale Myree
And 1st 🥇 and 2nd 🥈Ewe Lamb with Nithsdale Nell and Nithsdale Nivalis. Nell finally beat her sister!🤭
It was wonderful to have 3 sheep in the line up for the Championships and totally thrilling for Nithsdale Nell to come away with not only Female Champion but also
🏆Overall Supreme Champion🏆!!
We also came 1st 🥇 with Group of 3 with Laird Lachlan, Myree and Nell proudly representing the Nithsdale flock.
Massive congratulations to Gary Gitsham and Sandra Gitsham of the Black Isle Valais Blacknose for their gorgeous Male Champion and Reserve Champion Tup Lamb. Also a huge well done to all the other competitors , there were some truly beautiful sheep there on display.
An absolutely huge amount of gratitude and respect goes to Irene Gray for her time, effort and dedication to each class and also thinking so highly of my sheepies. 😊

What a fantastic day at Dumfries Agricultural Show today! The first time they've held Valais classes there and, as always, the breed was incredibly popular with the crowds! 😍 A fabulous show.
I am absolutely over the moon with how my show team did with my 2 tups, Nithsdale Laird Lachlan and Nithsdale Lammermore getting 2nd 🥈and 3rd 🥉. Nithsdale Katori won her busy ewe class 🥇, Nithsdale Myree was 2nd 🥈 and Nithsdale Nell, flying solo without Nithsdale Nivalis today, went and won her ewe lamb class 🥇!!
Then in a bit of a twist, Nithsdale Katori only went and won Overall Supreme Champion which i really wasn't expecting at all when I saw who she was up against!🙈🤯 She was shown very successfully as a lamb but always coming Reserve Champion to her brother, Nithsdale Kain, winning Supreme. She has come back this year as an absolute tank of a girl and got her very first Supreme. I'm so very proud of her today. 😍
Massive congratulations to all other competitors , especially Spango Bank Valais Blacknose for their Reserve Champion, Spango Marmaduke. Also a huge thanks to Bruce Linda Goldie for his time and expertise and thinking so highly of my sheepies. Bruce has judged Katori a few times and she got a first 🥇 from him in her first ever outing as a ewe lamb at Ayr show '24 , a Reserve Champion at Braco 24 🏆 and now she's completed the set with a Supreme from him. 😍 What a day! 😊 Nithsdale Valais Blacknose

A cracking day at Border Union, Kelso show today. My sheepies came home with...
1st🥇Aged Tup Nithsdale Laird Lachlan
3rd 🥉 Shearling Nithsdale Lammermore
1st 🥇 Gimmer Nithsdale Myree
And 1st and 2nd 🥇🥈 Ewe Lambs with Nithsdale Nivalis and Nithsdale Nell.
And Nithsdale Nivalis went on to win
🏆Overall Reserve Champion🏆
