Logie Farm Life Logie farm extends around 500 acres and is situated on the "Gold Coast of Fife". We also run The Snug at Logie Farm 🙂

We grow cereals, rent land for vegetables, have a herd of pedigree Charolais cattle and a flock of around 600 breeding ewes/ 150 hogs.

Home ….. can’t wait for our own bed tonight 😴. Was a bittersweet trip to Caithness, but made so much better by being surrounded by good friends, family, a wonderful minister and great funeral director. The weather was also with us which really made the day- like mum was right there with us 🌻

Pleased to see the farm at home is looking so well. The broccoli 🥦 will be getting planted soon, along with the ewes getting shorn…. Just waiting on the nod from the shearing team. We have gathered the ewes and lambs close by so we can get them in quickly and easily. Hoping we can get a bunch of lambs wormed at the same time.

In the meantime wondering if we can stay up long enough to watch the Brazil v Scotland game 🫣- looking unlikely

We took some time out whilst in Caithness to go see some of our favourite spots! Clearly one of them was the hallowed turf at Millbank . Special times had here and wonderful to see the club area looking well and moving forward. Andy was reminding me of try’s he himself had scored over the years ☺️

Pleased to report he was the exact same as he was on - a super guy! He was telling us that this was his first time to and he seemed to be loving it. Was funny to us as we have been at the show every year for as long as we can remember. Anyway look forward to following his adventures on his Croft

For any friends and family wanting to attend Andy’s lovely mums funeral the details are as follows:-

A service to celebrate Joans life will be held in St Peter’s and St Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Thurso on Tuesday 23rd June, service commencing at 11am, thereafter to Olrig Cemetery. Castletown.

All family and friends are respectfully invited. Family Flowers only please.

Donations if desired may be given at or after the service- we are raising money for Blood Cancer UK and have set up a “Precious Life fund” in Joan’s memory - tribute number 108709. These funds will be put towards researching cures for rare blood cancers.

Thanks to everyone who has sent cards, flowers, messages and called - meant alot to Iain, Andy and the rest of the family. 🫶🏼

Quick job done this morning- with the weather warming up ☀️the tups needed some fly spray on. Just made a pen in the field for ease as opposed to taking them to the fanks. Most of these guys are home bred shearlings (with the exception of our Bardnaclavan tup) that will be for sale at Lockerbie in September

We must be the only folk round here not at ….. it’s odd for us and we are missing everyone. Neither of us have missed it in over 30 years.

However with Andy’s mums funeral on Tuesday, and a number jobs needing done before, we decided to give showing sheep a miss this year. TBH it felt like the right thing to do. Ultimately family comes first and we are needed at home.

However the girls are desperate to see the show (more so some shopping 🛍️ no doubt hammering mum and dads bank accounts) so tomorrow so we plan to have a walk round. So hope to see you there!! 😊
