Fresh Meadow Farms & Kerry Hill Sheep We are a family-run farm in East Sussex raising free range pork, lamb, beef, hogget and mutton plus Wild Sussex venison.

It's feeling a bit autumnal and so if you are thinking roasts, stews, pieces or sausages and mash we have a full range of Hereford beef, venison, lamb, pork and hogget for you at three markets this weekend:

Saturday: Eastbourne Farmers Market outside the Towner Galley from 9am to 1pm
Saturday: Ashburnham Place from 9am to 1pm
Sunday: First Foodie Sunday in Battle Marker Square just behind Jempsons from 10am to 1pm

All our meat is born and raised on our small family farm following regenerative farming practices aiming to improve the soil and biodiversity - as well as producing nutritious and high quality meat for you. The venison is Wild and from the farm too.

As always, drop me a message if there is something that you would like us to put aside for you in case we sell out of something you are after.

Our last market in August is tomorrow at Hailsham from 9am-12noon (in the entrance to the livestock market at the bottom of town - plenty of parking).

Venison is back in stock with a full range of cuts plus sausages and burgers. We will also have our Hereford beef, pork and lamb and hogget.

Beef is back!!! Come and stock up on a full range of beef cuts from steaks, burgers, roasts plus all the traditional cuts. We will also have 4 flavours of pork sausages and hogget for sale. Plenty for the BBQ, roasts and mid week meals.

We will be at Ninfield Village Market from 9:30-12:30 Saturday 18th July and followed by Brightling Flower & Dog Show from 1:30pm.

We have a busy weekend at 3 markets where you can come and stock up on your pork and hogget with a focus on BBQs and easy to cook cuts with the hot weather that's predicted.

For the first time we will have a limited number of butterflied hogget (lamb) leg joints for a real treat. We also have BBQ steaks, sausages, mint burgers, chops plus the usual favourites.

Saturday 9am-1pm - Neil will be at Ashburnham Place
Saturday 9am-1pm - Helen will be at Eastbourne Farmers Market by the Towner Gallery
Sunday 10am-1pm - we will be at a new monthly food market in the market square behind Jempsons

All our meat is born and raised on our small family farm following regenerative farming practices. For those liking the more unusual traditional cuts, we also have diced ox heart, ox kidney and ox liver, plus very limited supplies of venison at Eastbourne.

We are standing in at Beckley Farmers Market tomorrow while the other meat farmer has a well earned break.

Come and find us for your pork, lamb and hogget - including sausages and steaks for the BBQ. All born and raised on our family farm following a regenerative approach.

In this hot weather our rotational management of the grass benefits both the livestock and nature. The long grass which the cows get fresh every few days shades the ground from the sun so making it a cooler environment for them to forage, less humidity at ground level reduces the flies pestering them. We also check that they have tree shade when it gets really hot.

The shorter grass is also cooler and continues to grow and is sweeter. The ground that they have already grazed and are now excluded from is growing back with an abundance of fresh clover which the butterflies and bees are loving.
