Fresh Meadow Farms & Kerry Hill Sheep We are a family-run farm in East Sussex raising free range pork, lamb, beef, hogget and mutton plus Wild Sussex venison.

We also provide fully funded school educational visits. We are at local farmers markets on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Saturday of the month

In this hot weather our rotational management of the grass benefits both the livestock and nature. The long grass which the cows get fresh every few days shades the ground from the sun so making it a cooler environment for them to forage, less humidity at ground level reduces the flies pestering them. We also check that they have tree shade when it gets really hot.

The shorter grass is also cooler and continues to grow and is sweeter. The ground that they have already grazed and are now excluded from is growing back with an abundance of fresh clover which the butterflies and bees are loving.

Tomorrow we will be at two farmers markets selling out fresh pork and hogget, lots of sausages and BBQ steaks and burgers. We will also have lamb available and will be taking orders to beef available from mid July

Ashburnham Place from 9am - 1pm
Hailsham from 9am to 12 noon (at the livestock market) - the cafe will be open too

We are looking forward to selling our home born and raised meat tomorrow from 9am-1pm. We will have a range of pork, lamb, hogget and venison cuts of meat - plus burgers and sausages.

Fresh Meadow Farms is a small family farm very local to Ashburnham Place. Following ‘old school’ traditional farming practices which regenerate the soil and increase biodiversity we are a non-intensive farm and our pigs, lambs and cattle are allowed to grow at their own pace and living out in the fields all year round. Our venison is wild and comes from the farm as part of our defined management plan to protect the High Weald landscape.

Come and find us at two markets this weekend to stock up on pork, lamb, hogget and venison.

We will have burgers, steaks and sausages for the BBQ plus the usual cuts.

Saturday 9-1pm Eastbourne Farmers market
Sunday 12-3pm Gun Brewery
