Semi final team news 🙌
We're delighted to welcome Roland Butcher to Darlington Cricket Club on Wednesday evening.
Roland will be joining representatives from the Arthur Wharton project and Hopetown from approximately 6.45pm, alongside our Readman Cup Semi-Final against Seaton Carew.
Cricket supporters will have the chance to meet Roland, hear about his experiences in the game, ask questions, and collect an autograph or photo.

We are hosting something important at Bank Wood Barn on Saturday 27 June, and we would like you to come.

The People's Emergency Briefing is a film that brings together nine of Britain's leading scientists to present the evidence on climate change and nature loss, not as politics, but as fact. What it means for food security, for health, for the cost of living, and for places like ours here in North Yorkshire.

After the screening there will be an open community discussion. We have invited our MP and local councillors to join us. An optional guided walk through our ancient woodland and internationally important meadows follows for those who would like to stay.

We are heading into the final, nail-biting stages of an absolutely incredible three days of cricket here at Darlington Cricket Club!

The standard of this Women’s Academy 3-Day Event has been phenomenal, and the batting has been nothing short of elite. We have seen major, standout innings in **every single innings** of this game, and this final chase is no exception!

Surrey set a massive target of 375, and Durham is fighting back fiercely. They are currently sitting at 191 for 4, anchored by another spectacular knock of 62. The grit and sheer quality of the women's cricket on display has been a true privilege to watch.

* **The Cricket:** Masterclass batting, brilliant bowling, and a chase that is going right down to the wire.

* **The Vibe:** Glorious sunshine, fantastic boundary-side crowds, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

* **The Food:** We have loved every single second of keeping both teams and our wonderful spectators fueled with hot lunches and sumptuous traditional cricket teas!

🏏 HISTORIC CRICKET, GLORIOUS SUNSHINE & SUMPTUOUS FOOD! ☀️

We are having an absolutely unbelievable time down here at Darlington Cricket Club for the Women’s Academy 3-Day Event—a historic first for the ground!

Durham is facing off against Surrey, and the standard of cricket is just breathtaking. Surrey is currently putting on a masterclass at 366 for 5, with their number 2 batter sitting on a massive 192, and number 7 offering brilliant support on 54. It is an absolute joy to watch.

While the teams are delivering on the pitch, we’ve been delivering in the pavilion! We’ve loved serving up hot, fresh lunches followed by a truly sumptuous traditional cricket tea to keep the players and supporters fueled.

A massive shoutout to our local MP and DCMS Minister, Lola McEvoy - MP for Darlington who I bumped into while out shopping today! She was incredibly keen to hear about the event and so supportive of bringing top-tier women's sports to our local community.
We would love to welcome you down to the boundary, Lola!

The weather is fabulous, the atmosphere is brilliant, and everyone is welcome to come down and enjoy this glorious game.
