They say we are on the same journey through space on our planet.
What troubles me is we are trying to destroy our space vehicle.

An unusual sight of a native oyster in a tray of scallops bought today from Brixham Fish Market. Not many are caught due to fishing methods so interesting to see. When we built our shop we found one in the foundations which seemed to show we were in the right spot!

It’s John Dory season so hopefully will have a great selection of those alongside a good choice of other fish and seafood.

We’re open Mon to Wed and Sat next week. We have some specials - kiln smoked octopus, trout & salmon plus gravadlax. Plus oysters and sides of smoked salmon and sliced smoked halibut. The 2 to a portion Brill are fantastic. And lots more as usual !

This photo won the Regatta photo competition. In that boat with the red sails is a fishmonger who wasn’t selling fish during regatta but was racing and loving it. To be fair, he was buying the fish and delivering the fish but the selling was left to his great team.
It’s a pretty fabulous photo - and just in case you’re worried. The cannon missed.

Congratulations to the winner of our Dartmouth Regatta 180 Photo Competition - Elaine Hobson!

🎉 🥳 📸 🏆 🎉 🥳 📸 🏆

Thank you to all who entered this year’s fierce competition. We loved all your photos of sailing, fireworks, hot tubs, rainbows, discos and more, but Elaine’s wonderful image was considered to best capture the spirit of the Regatta! Not only has Elaine won our Photo Competition, she has bagged bragging rights for the next twelve months and gets £50 prize money!

With thanks to Millard Cook Dartmouth for sponsoring and running this amateur photography competition, and to Stuart Millard for being head judge.
