🧐 FUN FACT OF THE DAY:

Dexter cattle are the smallest of all native British and Irish breeds, standing just 36 to 42 inches tall. Because of their compact size, they are considered a highly efficient "dual-purpose" breed, producing exceptional beef and rich milk.

Dexter Beef Facts:

Developed in Ireland in the 1750s from hardy mountain cattle, making them naturally tough and able to thrive on tough terrain.

Meat Quality:

Despite their size, they yield heavy, well-marbled beef renowned for its tenderness, buttery texture and slightly sweet, nutty flavor.

Nutritional Profile:

Dexter beef is naturally lean and known for higher levels of beneficial fatty acids, including Omega-3 and CLA.

After a long winter we’re glad to have been busy today preparing for our first outing of the year!

❄️🏂 Don’t miss the Ayrshire Schools Snowsports Championship tomorrow at Peak Park (Newmilns ski slope). Come cheer on the young athletes and treat yourself to a juicy Dexter beef burger or sliced sausage. Perfect fuel for a day of excitement! 🍔⛷️
