🥔 LET’S TALK TOPPINGS! 🥔

We’ve been looking back through some of our menus from the last 6 months and we’ve definitely served up a fair few different toppings along the way! 😂🥔

From the classics like cheese, beans and tuna mayo, to chilli, chicken curry, BBQ pulled pork, mac & cheese, peri peri chicken, stewed steak, spaghetti bolognese and plenty more… plus quite a few event specials! 👀

One thing we’ve always wanted to do with The Tater Hut is keep things interesting. Our menu won’t necessarily be exactly the same at every event, and our specials will change too. It gives us the chance to keep adding new toppings alongside your favourites. 🥔🧡

So we want to hear from you…

❤️ What’s your favourite jacket potato topping?

👎 What’s your least favourite? 😂

🤔 And here’s the fun one… what’s something a little different that you wouldn’t normally expect to see on a jacket potato, but you reckon would REALLY work? 👀

We’re always looking for ideas for future Tater Hut Specials, so get creative! You never know… we might actually give one of your suggestions a go! 👀😂🥔

Have a look through some of the toppings and specials we’ve served over the last few months and let us know what you think 👇

And keep your eyes peeled at our future events… there are definitely more new toppings and changing specials to come! 🥔✨

⭐ A little favour from The Tater Hut ⭐

We’ve been having a look at our Google page and realised that all of our lovely reviews are currently on Facebook. We’d really appreciate it if any of our customers could leave us a review on Google too, as it helps more people find The Tater Hut when searching for mobile catering, private hire and events across Lancashire & the North West 🥔❤️

Even if you’ve already left us a lovely review on Facebook, leaving one on Google too would really help our little family-run business get noticed by more people.

🌟 August Bank Holiday Charity Weekend at The Wheatsheaf 🌟

This August Bank Holiday (Saturday–Monday), The Wheatsheaf will once again be hosting a very special charity event.

Following the incredible success of our last fundraiser, where, together, we raised nearly £15,000 for the Matthew Hesmondhalgh CRY charity, we’re coming together again for local causes that are just as close to our hearts.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that the money raised from our last event has already been put to amazing use. It has helped fund a full weekend of heart screening at Garstang High School this October, giving young people in our community access to potentially life-saving checks.

This is exactly why we do what we do, turning your support into something that can genuinely make a difference 💙

This year’s event will be held in honour of Sam Dodd, who sadly passed away in July 2024 at just 18 years old. ❤️

While around 50% of all funds raised will go to The Matthew Hesmondhalgh Memorial Fund - CRY, the remaining 50% will be shared between local charities and organisations that meant something to Sam and his community:

St Thomas's Church, Garstang – where Sam was laid to rest, helping improve access during wetter months

Team Kirkland (Kirkland & Catterall School) – where Sam attended

Garstang Veterans – recognising Sam’s family ties to the armed forces

Brian House Children's Hospice – supporting young lives and families

Garstang Community Sports Hub Juniors Section – helping reach and support local young people

We’ve got a full weekend planned, with acts, entertainment, and events to be announced over the coming weeks — including a family fun day 🎉

🙏 How you can help:

We want to make this weekend bigger and better than ever, and we’d love your support:

🎁 Donate raffle or auction prizes
💼 Sponsor acts or parts of the event
🎤 Are you a local singer or performer? Get in touch — we’d love to hear from you!
👥 Tag anyone who might be able to support or get involved

Let’s come together once again as a community, raise as much as we can, and make this a weekend to remember for Sam's memory 💛🖤

More details coming soon, stay tuned!
