Amazing storm last night from our balcony in Dawlish.

The rain and thunder never quite reached us, yet out across the English Channel the heavens were alive with light. Forked lightning split the darkness above the sea, while great sheets of silver flickered beyond the horizon and over Haldon Hill.

For a while it felt as though we had the best seats in the house; warm, dry and watching nature put on one of its great wild performances.

I just hope everyone caught beneath the storm itself stayed safe through the night.

You’d think that owning a tea company would mean we’re always prepared for a proper cuppa… ☕😂

But our camping trip took a slightly unexpected turn when we realised we’d forgotten the teapot and the strainers!

Solution? Kate’s ankle socks (freshly cleaned, of course! 😅)

Surprisingly effective… and crisis averted. First world problem solved! 🏕️🍵
