Thank you to our wonderful friends Frank, Angels and everyone at Hillside House Allotments for raising £161 from their recent Quiz Night.

We are so grateful for local support as it means we can continue to help our local community save money and access healthy and nutritious food.

Thank you so much to Victoria Park Bowling Club, Deal who have kindly chosen us as their Charity of the Year!

It was a pleasure to attend their first game of the season on Saturday and meet the team and tell them about Deal Pantry and the huge benefit it is in our community.

We very much look forward to working with you this year.

Next Thursday The Deal Pirates will be fundraising for Deal Foodbank and Pantry at Sainsburys Deal.

If you are able to donate an item or two as you shop ahead of Easter weekend, we would be so grateful for the support which allows us to help those in need in our local community.

🤩We are looking for volunteers to become part of our thriving community pantry🤩

👩‍🦰Volunteer Sessions are:

Re-stocking the pantry ready for members to shop (this includes some light lifting): Mondays 9.30-12.30pm. The pantry isn’t open to members during this re-stock session.

Pantry sessions: checking in our members (using a simple online system, but training and support is provided), helping some to shop, bagging shopping as well as welcoming members and making tea/coffee.
Mondays: 1.00-4.30pm
Tuesdays: 1.00-4.30pm
Wednesdays: 9.30am-1pm

📩 We need several volunteers across these times and a commitment to volunteer to at least one session per week.

• Great satisfaction, an opportunity to meet new friends and be
part of a small but mighty local charity
• Team Social events throughout the year!

We are running drop‑in financial wellbeing sessions at our pantry offering:
💬 Clear, practical money guidance that anyone can access
📘 Help with budgeting, understanding savings, loans and APR
💪 Build confidence and reduce reliance on crisis support
🏘 Strengthen long‑term financial resilience across our communities
📝 Gather insight into the challenges people face to shape the Crisis Resilience Fund launching in 2026.

No appointments, no judgement — just friendly support to help you feel more in control of your money.

Our next session is next Tuesday, 17th March 1.30-4.00pm.

A huge THANK YOU to our friends and supporters at Cummins Inc!!

A fantastic team of volunteers are working so hard building us a new pathway for the new container at Deal Pantry.

We are so grateful for all the support Cummins are giving us with this project, which is enabling us to develop and grow our pantry and help more people in our community.
