From the longest potato in Tokyo, to doorstep potato growing in Kanazawa, stylish snacks from and incredible new potatoes found in the most amazing food hall in Osaka. Even on holiday I can’t resist a potato snap!

Northdown Seed Producers wrapping up potato planting for 2026 🚜🥔
The team (and the machinery!) have been on the move across East Kent over the past few weeks, planting on behalf of a number of our farmers.

This field of Melody will soon be making its way to the COOK kitchens where they’ll be transformed into delicious fish pies, moussakas and more 🍽️

All this talk of food… it’s definitely time for a trip to the local farm shop to stock up on their meals

Perfect day for planting!

The team at E H Holdstock have been hard at work destoning and planting in this beautiful field beside the River Stour and Westbere Lake.
By September these Melody potatoes will be making their way into our Simply bags 🥔

Planting is officially wrapped up at Chislet for this year.

All those little seed tubers are now tucked up in their beds, having a well earned rest before the growing begins.

A great example of collaboration in action with the planting team and machinery now moving on to Monkton Court, sharing skills, time and equipment to keep the season rolling 🚜

Farming is always stronger when we work together.
