Well, that was a first… 😂

Today I did my very first **online Thermomix demo on Zoom** — and at times it felt less like a demo and more like I’d accidentally launched my own TV cookery show. 🎥👨‍🍳

The big question is… **which TV cook am I?**

🍷 Keith Floyd — slightly chaotic and wondering where the wine is?
✨ Nigella Lawson — making everything sound far more sensual than it needs to?
😜 Jamie Oliver — enthusiastically chucking things in and hoping for the best?
💄 F***y Cradock — imperious, terrifying and fully expecting everyone to do as they’re told?
🇫🇷 Julia Child — gloriously enthusiastic and completely untroubled when things don’t quite go to plan?

Whatever the answer, I absolutely loved doing it — and thanks to my trusty TM7 and my lovely audience 😂

Maybe **ThermomixBarry: The Cookery Show** is the next logical step… 📺

Who do you think I’m most like? Be kind… or at least be funny. 😂

👀 Fancy getting your TM7 for free?

When I became a Thermomix Advisor earlier this year, one of the big attractions for me was the opportunity to earn my TM7 for free — and I did! ❤️

So if you’ve been looking at a TM7 and thinking “I’d absolutely love one, but I just can’t justify spending that much at the moment”, you might want to know about this.

For a limited time, there’s an opportunity to become a Thermomix Advisor and earn your own TM7 — and it’s much more achievable than you might think.

You don’t need to become a full-time salesperson or sell mountains of machines. I fit being an Advisor around everything else I do, I’ve met some lovely people along the way, and I earned my own TM7 for free.

There’s a 3-week window to take advantage of the current opportunity, so if you’ve ever thought “I wonder if I could do that?”, come and have a chat with me.

There’s absolutely no obligation — I’m very happy to explain how it works and tell you about my own experience.

👇 Comment “TELL ME” below and I’ll send you the details.

Or just message me privately if you’d prefer. 😊

🌟 Fresh inspiration on Cookidoo!

One of the things I love about Cookidoo is that there’s always something new to discover.

New recipe collections are added regularly — sometimes bringing together brilliant existing recipes around a particular theme, and typically introducing brand-new recipes too. So even if you’ve had your Thermomix for years, there’s always fresh inspiration appearing.

And two new collections dropped today 👇

🎒 Back to School – 6 recipes featuring simple ideas for lunchbox snacks, afternoon bites and quick midweek meals for busy families.

❄️ Freezer Prep Meals – 10 recipes designed for batch cooking, so you can get ahead, fill the freezer and have homemade meals ready for those days when you really don’t have time to cook from scratch.

It’s one of the things that makes the Thermomix ecosystem so useful — the machine stays the same, but the inspiration just keeps growing.

I’m off to have a proper nose through them! 👀

Which collection would you explore first — Back to School or Freezer Prep Meals?

Tonight’s dinner… and this one is definitely going on the “make again” list! 😋

Guinness, blonde lentil & pulled mushroom stew with herby dumplings.

This was utterly delicious — deep, dark, rich flavours from the Guinness, loads of vegetables and lentils, and those pulled mushrooms give it a really satisfying texture. Then there are the dumplings… beautifully light and fluffy, soaking up all that gorgeous gravy. ❤️

Proper comfort food, but completely plant-based and packed with wholesome ingredients.

And yes, the Thermomix was put to work again — including making the dumpling dough in seconds. 😊

Who says vegan food has to be boring?

Who else is ready for comforting autumn cooking?

🍞 WHAT’S REALLY IN YOUR BREAD?

Last night I was watching Inside the Factory with Paddy McGuinness, where they were inside the Warburtons bakery making their Toastie loaf.

It was fascinating seeing bread produced on that scale — but it also got me looking at the ingredients list.

Alongside flour, water, yeast and salt, the loaf contains vegetable oils, soya flour, calcium propionate as a preservative, emulsifiers E472e and E481, and ascorbic acid as a flour treatment agent.

Now compare that with a basic loaf I can make at home with my Thermomix TM7:

🌾 Strong bread flour
💧 Water
🌱 Yeast
🧂 Salt

That’s it.

I’m not suggesting there’s anything inherently “bad” about every ingredient used in commercially produced bread — they’re there for reasons such as softness, consistency and shelf life.

But for me, one of the things I love most about making food from scratch is simply knowing exactly what has gone into it.

The Thermomix mixes and kneads the dough for me, so homemade bread really doesn’t have to mean lots of hard work or mess. And there is NOTHING quite like the smell of a freshly baked loaf in the kitchen. 😍

If you’ve ever wondered whether a Thermomix would actually change the way you cook, come and have a demo with me. No pressure, just some cooking, tasting and a chance to see what it can do.

Drop me a message. 💚

And tell me below — do you ever look at the ingredients on the bread you buy?
