🏅🌟Ein Gwobrau ~ Our prizes🌟🏅

What a fantastic day yesterday at the Dalziel Butchers Show, they put on a spectacular event!

It was great to meet with suppliers and sponsors, build new connections, and discover fresh ideas that we can bring back to our customers. We also had the opportunity to watch some incredibly talented apprentices, senior butchers, and butcher pairs competing in the Battle of the Butchers 2026, creating truly outstanding display masterpieces.

Back in April, our products were thoroughly assessed by a panel of national judges. Each entry was evaluated on:
🧐Uncooked appearance and presentation
🧐Product composition
🧐Cooked appearance
🧐Aroma and overall smell
🧐Texture
🧐Taste
🧐Overall appeal

Award ratings were:
⭐️ One Star – 85–89 points
⭐️⭐️ Two Stars – 90–95 points
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Three Stars – 96–100 points

Yesterday, we were delighted to receive the certificates for all of our entered products.

A huge thank you to our team for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to producing top quality products for our customers every day. We couldn't be prouder of what has been achieved, and a true validation that hard work pays it’s way!

Mae cynrychiolaeth o dîm J.H Jones & Co wedi bod ar grwydr heddiw yn cystadlu ar lefel genedlaethol, ac yn falch iawn o waith y tîm a’u llwyddiant! 🥧👏🏻

Today, team members from J.H Jones & Co travelled to the Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate to compete in the Grand Final of a prestigious national competition with our in-house made Hog Roast Pork Pie. 🥧
To be selected as one of the top producers in our category from across the country is a tremendous honour and a testament to the craftsmanship of our team. We were incredibly proud to represent our business on a national level and showcasing our award-worthy pie alongside some great producers. After clearing the first round in April with excellent scores, we were pipped to the post today by a Huntsman Pie!
A selection of our other products were also awarded in the April competition, receiving one, two and three star awards, a great achievement at a national level….more details to follow!
