Well its been a season of highs and lows this year. And definitely calls for some rethinking and extra planning for next year.

Am afraid there won't be any more benches put out this season.

📢 Bench now closed for the season.

Orders are taking priority. Simply due to the flowers being fewer than usual due to the dry conditions.
We have entered Autumn early this year. We are around 3-4 weeks ahead with flowers then "normal" (what ever normal is). 🤷‍♀️

This also means I will probably be forced to close early than expected too. Usual I can go into October with not too much bother. But this year feels like it will be a struggle past September.

Thank goodness it as finally rained. But sadly a little late now for the summer flowers.

Morning folks. Happy Friday. 😊

Hope your all enjoying this sunshine.

Sadly there still wont be a bench this weekend.
Its still too hot to put flowers out on a south facing yard.

Orders are still being taken.

BUT please 🙏 give me at least 24hours notice.

The patch is feeling the heat and to get the best from cut flowers they need to be cut and conditioned properly before they can be sold.
That requires an early morning and lots of drinking water. So time is essential.

Not something I usual post....but when is it going to rain!! 😭
We all love the beautiful sunshine in summer but this is taking the biscuit. 🥵

I cant remember the last time we had significant rain here in Marehay. Its got to be well over 3 months now.
I even dream about it raining and get up in the night thinking I can hear it! But no not a drop.

This is by far the hardest year growing flowes i've had in 6 years.

On a plus side the Dahlias seem to be doing well.

Some have suggested confetti
Others have said wreaths. 🤔
Might just be small posies for gifts.🤷‍♀️

What ever the plan ends up being its definitely been a great year for drying crops.
