Being Delivered to The Burnt Pig Ilkeston, Copernicus Crater,
Blonde Ale, 5.2% ABV
A radiant blonde ale brewed in tribute to Copernicus Crater, one of the Moon’s most striking landmarks, and the spirit of Artemis II. This beer shines with the same bright energy as the mission itself’
A base of Maris Otter and lager malt delivers a clean, golden canvas, while a touch of light Munich adds soft honey, warm grain, and a subtle glow. In the kettle, Citra and Simcoe hops fire off citrus zest, pine flicker, and a stone fruit lift. The dry hop of Krush and Supadelic pushes the aroma into a tangerine, lime peel, white peach, and a playful tropical shimmer. A blonde ale with a modern hop halo. Brewed for those who look up.

Being delivered today The Burnt Pig Ilkeston,
“Midnight Convoy – Strength in elegance.”
A deep, mahogany-hued lagered porter that bridges elegance and strength. Brewed to 6.7% ABV, it showcases a smooth, layered malt character with notes of dark chocolate, toasted bread, and subtle dried fruit.
Hallertauer Hersbrucker lend a delicate, herbal-spicy aroma with whispers of floral earthiness, balancing the richness without overpowering. On soon at The Hoptimist - Spondon Ltd, a dusky pour 5.2% abv Oatmeal Stout with a creamy tan head, Velvet Reverie invites you into a fireside reverie. For The Brave
It's not very often a brew is repeated, but the first brew went to The Burnt Pig, celebrating their 10th year and went down a storm. As it was such a great success it was brewed again for a Beer Festival in Morton in Marsh, again a huge success. It is now back for a third time at The Smithfield Derby.
This American Stout is a robust and bold style, that showcases a balance of roasted malt flavours with a noticeable hop presence—often more pronounced than in traditional English stouts. Pours pitch black with a thick, tan head. The aroma bursts with roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a hint of citrusy hops. First sip reveals a rich roasted malt backbone—espresso, burnt caramel, and cocoa—balanced by a firm bitterness and a touch of grapefruit peel from American hops. Medium-bodied with a slightly dry, lingering finish and subtle warmth from the alcohol. Assertive but balanced, this stout combines roast and hops beautifully.

Delivered to the The Hoptimist - Spondon Ltd this week is Sun's Farewell.
This deliberate continental crossover, a blonde ale in spirit but built and fermented with lagering techniques and German ingredients for a hybrid that marries the ale's drinkability with Helles restraint. The result is a 5.4% ABV beer that reads bright and citrus-forward while remaining clean, crisp, and classically European in balance.

Maris Otter malt starts the party then Crystal DRC brings the toffee and toasted biscuit vibes, while golden naked oats smooth it all out with a velvety finish.
