Another firm favourite this time of the year is the wonderful Fenland celery.

If your a celery lover, this is the real mccoy! Grown in fenland soil, this amazing crisp white winter celery is not around for long. Starting in October its usually finished with in mid december!

So if you remember celery how it always used to be, or as a lot of regular customers tell us “proper celery” come on doen and try some!!

Its the time of the year where one of our favourite fruits are available.

They have many names- sharon fruit, persimmons or kaki, but whatever you call them, theyre a superb fruit to enjoy.

When were asked what they taste like, we can only describe them as sweet, gooey , with a jelly like flesh. They simply are unique!

They are a great source of fibre, vitamin A and C.

They are best enjoyed once very soft like the one on the far left of the picture. The feel is similar to a fried tomatoe. Cut into quarters and enjoy from the skin. Some varieties you can eat the skin, but we advise not to. Not that the skin will do you any serious harm, but some varietys can dry your mouth.

So if you havent had these amazing fruits yet, now is your time. Come and enjoy them!!
