❤️ A Personal Plea from myself, Sara
I’m making a personal plea to our wonderful Rothwell community.
I’m Sara, the founder and organiser of Rothwell Saturday Farmers Market which we first started back in 2020. For the past six years, we’ve relied on a small team of just three people to help make the market happen every month.
But now, we’re desperately in need of some extra help. One of our team has moved away, and another is struggling to fit the market around a 7-day working week.
We’re looking for a few people who would be willing to join a small volunteer team on a rota basis. You wouldn’t be committing to every market, once a month is fine — we simply need an increase in the regular team of people who can spare around an hour per month, either helping with the early morning set-up or closing down.
🚐 Having access to a van would be a huge advantage, as we need to collect the market tents, tables and equipment from our storage unit.
This market means a huge amount to me personally, and I’ve worked hard since 2020 to keep it going and support our local independent traders. With a little extra help, we can keep Rothwell Saturday Market alive and thriving. ❤️
