Our fish counter is supplied by New Wave Seafood, who land the majority of their catch straight from British coastal waters - Devon, Cornwall, Scotland. Our smoked fish comes from Severn & Wye Smokery.

We have lots of fresh fish and shellfish on offer, prepared exactly how you need it: filleted, scaled, pin-boned, whatever the recipe calls for.

It’s the kind of service most places stopped offering years ago, but we never did 🐟

Meet the Team - Kieron 🥩

He’s been with us 16 years in September. Up before most people have hit snooze, planning ahead before the first cut is made.

Ask him what skill took the longest to master - it’s knife sharpening. Getting it right and keeping it right. The single most important thing a butcher can do.

His favourite cut? Côte de bœuf. Looks the part, full of flavour. A cut that rewards patience and proper preparation.

And if there’s one thing he wishes more people understood? That cheap meat comes at a cost, just not always to you.

When meat is cheap, it’s cheap for a reason. Often because it’s travelled further than it should and hasn’t been raised to the standards our British farmers are legally and ethically required to meet. Supporting local isn’t just a nice idea. It’s how you know exactly what you’re getting.

Cindy has been part of the Walter Rose family for 5 years but her connection to the family goes back over three decades.

When she found herself out of work, she reached out to Jack. There was a vacancy. The rest, as she puts it, is history.

“I didn’t expect to feel so at home.”

Cindy works at the heart of our operation, keeping things running between our customers and our team. And if you’re wondering about her cut of choice? Fillet steak. Naturally.

Meet the team - Jack 🥩

Started here at 14. Nine years later, he’s still showing up and still knows exactly where the best cut is hiding.

Jack got into butchery through his dad, which honestly says everything you need to know. This isn’t just a job, it’s in the blood.

Ask him his favourite cut and he won’t even hesitate - Tomahawk steak, straight on the BBQ. Nothing beats it.

The thing that surprises most people? The sheer volume of product we move through every single day. Literal tonnes. The work that goes on behind the scenes - Jack’s a big part of that.
