FAQ Friday: “What support do Monarch Water give installers?”

A lot, actually.

Over the last 60+ years we’ve built a huge network of installers across the UK and one thing we’ve learned is this:

Good installers want more than just a product in a box.

They want reliable products, proper backup, real technical support and a manufacturer that actually answers the phone when needed.

That’s exactly what we aim to provide.

As a Monarch Water installer you can access:
✔ Installers Club membership
✔ Diamond Dash monthly prizes
✔ Product training
✔ Dedicated technical support
✔ £75 off CIPHE membership
✔ Potential Accredited Installer status & customer leads

And because installers are at the heart of our business, we’re always looking at new ways to support you too.

What’s the biggest thing you look for from a manufacturer as an installer? 👇

Ever find yourself rinsing glasses again after they’ve already been washed? 👀

You take them out of the dishwasher, or off the draining board, only to spot water marks, residue or cloudy streaks still there.

Hard water is usually the culprit.

One of the things Monarch Water customers tell us they love most after having a water softener installed is how much cleaner everything looks and feels afterwards. Sparkling glasses, shiny cutlery and no more re-rinsing before guests come round.

Softened water also helps soaps and detergents work more effectively, meaning you can often use less washing up liquid, dishwasher salt and rinse aid too.

It’s one of those everyday differences you quickly stop noticing… until you stay somewhere without soft water again!

Hard water people… what’s your biggest kitchen frustration? 👇

It's a little known fact, but YES!

A Monarch Water softener doesn’t just help stop NEW limescale forming. It can also help reduce EXISTING limescale that’s been building up inside your pipes and hot water system for years.

How?

Once softened water starts flowing through your plumbing system, the water no longer carries the hardness minerals that create scale deposits. Over time, existing limescale can gradually begin dissolving back into the water instead.

That old scale build-up matters more than many people realise. Industry figures commonly attributed to the Carbon Trust suggest that just 1mm of limescale on a heating surface can increase energy use by around 7%.

With around 60% of UK homes in hard water areas, hidden limescale inside boilers, tanks and pipework is extremely common.

Less limescale can mean:
✔ Better efficiency
✔ Better water flow
✔ Less strain on appliances
✔ Reduced future build-up

Monarch Achieves ISO 9001 and ISO 14001!

We received official confirmation on 13th May that we have successfully passed our three-day audit for both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and are now fully certified. This is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the hard work, collaboration, and commitment across the business to maintaining high standards in both quality and environmental management.

Funny how it’s the little things you notice most after getting a water softener installed.

No more floating bits in your tea.
No scum round the kettle.
No apologising when someone comes round for a cuppa!

Hard water leaves limescale behind every time you boil the kettle. With softened water, your tea and coffee stay clearer, your kettle stays cleaner, and your appliances stay scale free too.

And it’s not just the kettle:
✔ Coffee machines
✔ Taps & showers
✔ Washing machines
✔ Dishwashers
✔ Heating systems

All protected from limescale build-up.

Yes, softened water is perfectly fine to drink too (see more on this in our FAQ Friday posts).

No, softened water is not “full of salt”.

Although water softeners use high-purity salt during regeneration, it doesn’t mean your tap water suddenly becomes salty.

The increase in sodium is actually very small. In fact, a glass of milk typically contains around 4 to 5 times more sodium than a glass of softened water.

During regeneration, the softener also switches automatically to bypass mode, so any water used at that point comes straight from the mains supply.

The Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) states that water containing up to 200ppm sodium is safe to drink, and softened water is very unlikely to exceed this.
