It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day tomorrow and we still have space on our yoga with the alpacas session.

Not only is Carly our Herd Manager (and alpaca whisperer), but she’s also a yoga teacher, so you’ll get both yoga and alpaca knowledge 😊🧘‍♀️🦙

The session is suitable for all abilities, so don’t be put off if you’re a beginner and seasoned yogis are very welcome!

A lovely evening at our women’s meet up tonight - we sat in the woodland parachute sharing and listening, went for a wander around the woodland trail to find bits to make a lovely little nature frame and then finished down by the stream where some of us had a little paddle.
Thanks to everyone who came and thanks to Emma for getting us all crafting.
Our next meet up is our campout in July if anyone fancies coming. No need to have been along before.

We’ve added more alpaca walking dates due to popular demand! If one of these dates doesn’t work for you, we can also run private walks for small groups - just get in touch.

Grab your spot now and come and meet our friendly, strokable alpacas!

When you come for a walk with us you can be assured that animal welfare is our highest priority.

- Our training methods are gentle, respectful and consent based
- We teach you how to engage with our alpacas in a way that makes them feel safe so that you know you’re both enjoying the experience
- You will be matched with an alpaca so that you get the most out of your time together
- All of our alpacas are vaccinated, freshly shorn to keep them cool through the summer and regularly health checked
- We will take time to help you get that perfect photo if that’s what you’re wanting
- As of August we will be offering a cuppa at The Hideout after your walk

There’s one thing we’ve been being asked constantly since we started running our home ed sessions in January 2025...

Can we sleep over?!

So we’re finally doing it!

We’re hosting a home ed campout at the farm!

Open to new families, returning and current.

Free flowing with lots of autonomy for those who need it tempered with structured activities and clearly defined plans for those who like to know what’s up.

A weekend of campfires, toasting marshmallows, alpaca interactions of all kinds, crafting, lots of free time to play in the woods, swing in hammocks and paddle in the stream and lots of good chats and hot drinks for the grown ups.

Vegan (kid friendly!) meals included - cooked by our very own Madame Seitan
 
Included:
* dinner on Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning included (vegan) bring snacks and a packed lunch for Saturday (helps us keep the ticket price down!)
* alpaca encounter / meet and greet
* alpaca walking for children over 10
* fibre crafts (wet felting / needle felting / spinning depending on interests/group) with the alpaca fleece
* an opportunity to help us do the animal rounds on the Sunday morning
* undercover spaces for lounging and dining (the Lookout and Hideout)
* 2 compost toilets and 2 warm showers with eco friendly toiletries;
* washing up / hand washing / teeth brushing area
* communal firepit
* BBQs and small pizza oven
* 28 alpacas and an abundance of wildlife, including deer, badger, foxes, bats etc.
* board games, mini library, ping pong table
* 28 acres of land, including a beautiful ancient woodland with a stream and hammocks + mud kitchen

After a couple of requests, we’ve decided to put the feelers out there for a women’s camp out this summer 🎉 ⛺️

We had such a lovely relaxing weekend together last year, that it seems a shame not to do it all again.

Come and camp or glamp, meet the alpacas, spend time with other lovely women in a beautiful natural setting, swing in hammocks in the woodland, paddle in the stream, get crafty, or just simply chill for the weekend.

When our farm visitors come and meet our alpacas they always ask who the daddies are.

Well here he is! Our alpaca daddy Phineas.

He’s getting on a bit now at nearly 10 but he’s been a busy boy and has fathered all of our most recent cria.

Phineas, as well as being our stud, is also one of our walking boys! So you’ll get to meet him if you book on for a walk. And you can treat him to a visit to the girls to say hello over the fence (he’ll love you forever).

And speaking of daddies - if you’re still looking for a Father’s Day gift, we’ve got lots of options in our shop and on our website.

We’ve got gift vouchers for our alpaca experiences and alpaca walks, you could buy him an adopt an alpaca package and if he’s a keen gardener we’ve got fleece seconds and manure for the garden!

Happy Sunday all 😊

We’ve just found out that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the Northants Life ‘Best Day Out’ award category - thank you to anyone who nominated us, so very kind! 🥹

Last week I got sent photos (see below!) of this gorgeous hand-spun homemade alpaca yarn from an attendee to our recent ‘Fleece to Yarn’ hand spinning workshop.

Her message simply said: ‘addicted’.

And that’s how it starts.

Once you get the hang of this ancient craft it grabs you.

If spinning is calling you come and join us for the next one!

Sunday 23rd August 11am to 5pm.

- a full hand spinning workshop so you go away knowing how to process an alpaca fleece from start to finish (would translate to sheep fleeces too)
- ⁠plus time to hang out with our girls (the alpacas!)
- ⁠a wander in our ancient woodland
- ⁠cups of tea
- ⁠a beautiful picturesque outdoor location with shelter and a campfires if we need it

Farm birthday parties 🎂🎉

We still have some availability for birthday parties this year.

My middle daughter Lottie turns 10 next week 🥹 and she’s having a glamping party with her besties! I’ve been tasked with decorating the bell tents, organising pizzas for the pizza oven and s’mores around the camp fire 🔥 there will be 🦙 fun no doubt and some stream paddling and time in the woodland.

Our monthly Stay & Play sessions with Emma are now on a Thursday!

Many of you found Tuesdays tricky so we’re trailing a new day, starting next Thursday 18th June.

Our Stay & Play sessions are relaxed nature play sessions for under 5s.

Our Woodland Play Zone is a small child utopia!


Not only is there the shallow stream and the woodland itself but there is also a beautiful handmade mud kitchen, mud pit, clay station, water play station, mixing table, slide, hammocks, den and so much more!

Emma also lays out optional activities each session and of course there are lots of hot drinks for the grown ups.
