Wilkinson butchers Doncaster

So here we are again. September 2026, some 72 years after My Grandad Bernard Wilkinson opened his doors for the very first time.
His was the first butcher’s shop to open in Doncaster after meat came off rationing from ww2. And he had plenty of firsts….
He was the the first to use digital weighing scales, the first to have a professional sign written Company sign. The first to have refrigerated display cabinets, he even had an air curtain fitted to keep the cool air in his walk in fridge!
The man was a leader, a pioneer an innovator a true great. He put the strong foundations in to what we have today.
Happy birthday once again Wilkinson Butchers!

So this afternoon I did my level 2 hygiene.
80% is a pass. 100% was achieved 😉
We’ve also been very busy getting things ready for a very English bank holiday weekend!
Plenty of sausages, burgers, kebabs, meatballs, stuffed pork fillets, Dans doners etc also plenty of our different varieties of bacon should you want to have a full English bank holiday treat 👍

Oohhh what’s this? More new curries hitting the counter! The butter chicken has gone down a treat, so we’ve introduced another two to this weekends line up.

Morning all, yes we’ve been very quiet on here recently….. we’ve prioritised having the burger and sausage machines in full flow rather than the camera 🤣
Cracking forecast again this week, maybe too hot Wednesday/thursday, but if you’re firing up that bbq, we have a full range of burgers and plenty of sausages today (Tuesday) and we’ll ramp it all up for Friday & satuday!
When will the last heatwave of the year be????????
