Our first review of 2026 and we went back to where it all started last year. Café Express was the first place we reviewed when we started this daft idea. Nothing has changed but that's certainly not a bad thing at all. D had the large breakfast and I had the small breakfast. The food was as always, really good. Cooked perfectly and very reasonably priced as well. We'd definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. I'm sure we'll be back again at some point.

Just a quick update for everyone.

I started a new job recently and it's taking up most of my time but more importantly D has had surgery on his shoulder so he's out of action for a while but we are still very hungry so hopefully we'll be back out reviewing again soon.

D and myself only appear for a few seconds but we were on our local news last night when we were at one of our favourite eateries, Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes and a Calendar News reporter asked us a few questions. Sadly our speaking parts were edited out but at least we were on the TV. 🤣🤣🤣

Just a random one this morning. We were out and about anyway so we decided to try a place called The Food Fix. It's situated just over the bridge behind Doncaster University. We decided to try 2 of their Breakfast Box's and 2 coffees. To be honest, we weren't disappointed. Everything was really tasty and I reckon we'll go again at some point in the future.

Well that's another new place ticked off. There was nowhere to park at our original planned stop yesterday so we moved on to this little place. It's called Rands Café and it's in Armthorpe. The menu is small and that's a good thing. Breakfasts, hot and cold sandwiches, a couple of burger options and hot & cold drinks. D had his usual and I tried their small breakfast. Everything was really well cooked and very tasty especially the sausages. They were a bit different.

Rands is another place that has to get it right (and they did ) because it's on an industrial estate so there's a lot of working trade as well as passing trade.

Highly recommended.

Our 2nd visit in as many weeks and a bit of an odd one because for breakfast D had the home made steak pie and home made chips with veg again and I had the sausage and bacon casserole with mash. D had his usual latte and I had a coffee. Yet again everything was absolutely amazing and I also got a large sandwich for my other half and she said that was amazing as well.

I got my can of coke today as well but no mint sauce. 😂😂

Oh well, maybe next time. 😂😂

Any suggestions for somewhere different for us to try would be appreciated.

Time for another food stop. I've had a much needed break away but we're back at it now.

If everyone could like and share the page and invite your friends as well to try and help this little group grow then that would be great. As soon as we hit 50 followers we'll do a live draw to see who we take for some tasty food.
