📢 A LITTLE REMINDER FROM A BLAND BUTCHERS 📢
Don’t forget, we are closed today.
As a small independent retailer, we only have a small team and everyone works incredibly hard, especially after a busy Bank Holiday weekend. So today we’re taking a well-earned day to recover and recharge! ❤️
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow as normal. 🥩🔪

Amazing Butchers, Locally Sourced Meat, Homemade Goods!
If you’re in and around the DN10 area, please check out Alex’s shop. I’m lucky to be able to buy some great local produce, just a short way from home. I believe you get what you pay for when it comes to produce, and Alex offers a great range, of superb quality at reasonable prices. BBQ packs are available, and you have to try the black pudding or if that isn’t your thing, the great range of homemade sausages and chicken kebabs! In fact everything is great. Come hot weekends and Christmas, people queue around the block for Alex’s offerings, so if you’re passing please pop in and mention my name! There’s parking in the Co-op car park opposite, and they’re open every day except Sunday and Monday.
On another note, it was Alex’s cousin Chantal Persephone Fitton-Adams that won The Blakey Brothers first raffle. We’ve not met yet but I really hope at some point we can go on a road run with our tractors, and you’ll hear in this video Alex getting in on the action with his Dexta!
That will be a good day out! Anyone else up for it?!

🐻🍯 We have some very special guests in the shop today!
Winnie the Pooh has stopped by on his way to the Winnie the Pooh Party at the Old School Field this afternoon. If you're passing by, pop in and say hello before heading over to the event!
The party is on today from 2:00pm – 6:00pm and will feature a live band, making it a great afternoon out for the whole family.
We hope to see you in the shop and at the celebrations later! 🍖🎉

🚧 Roadworks Update 🚧
Good news! We've just been informed that the High Street should reopen in the next 30 minutes, at around 9:30am.
Please note that Station Street and Marsh Lane will remain closed, but you will once again be able to access us via the High Street.

Just to let everyone know, I’ve just spoken to the road crew, and they have assured me that you will still be able to access both A Bland Butchers and the Co-op from the Church End of the village tomorrow.
There may be some delays due to the rolling road closure, but please don't let that put you off—we're open as usual and look forward to seeing you.

We have some incredible news to share!
This morning we found out that A Bland Butchers has made it through to the finals of the North Notts Business Awards in TWO categories!
🏆 Best Independent Retailer – Public Vote Finalist
🏆 Best New Business – Judges' Finalist
A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us. Your support has helped us get this far, and it truly means so much to me and the whole team.
I'd also like to say a massive thank you to my amazing staff for all their hard work and dedication every single day, and to my family for their unwavering support. None of this would have been possible without you all.
To be recognised after just one year in business is something we're incredibly proud of. Whatever happens on awards night, reaching the finals is an achievement we'll always be grateful for.
