The second shop was opened on Copley road, a painted sign can still be seen on the side wall of which is now a trophy shop. aditional produced products keeping to the tradition past down from the late Brian Benjamin Marshall to Scott Rodwell whom has worked at 21 Market Hall for 30 years. Mr Marshall was a highly respected man in this industry, he went on to judge beasts at fat-stock shows and I Scott Rodwell was taught how to buy live i.e. looking at a beast at auction and assessing the quality, conformation and % of end product against costs. Ben Marshall as he was commonly known gave me the opportunity to purchase the premises in 1996, Ben and I still worked together right up to his passing. Introducing modern products and changing of regulations always made for a interesting conversation over a glass of red on a Friday evening in the King William (Scaftworth Bawtry). Ben Marshall Butchers offer high quality locally sourced meat and extensive knowledge in our field past down through many generations.
